General Hospital (GH) spoilers note that fans remain confused about Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) agenda when it comes to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). She’s clearly up to something no good by finding out his bipolar meds have been tampered with and not telling him about it. Plus, she’s worked overtime to alienate those closest to the mob boss to ensure she’s the only one in his inner circle.

Is she working with someone at Pikeman or Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) to bring Sonny down or does she have an ulterior motive?

GH spoilers suggest that while Ava lost a friend in Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), she scored massive points with Sonny as she was able to get his estranged wife to sign those divorce papers he so desperately wanted.

Nina also had Madison (Virginia Ma) send her wedding ring set back to the mob boss. These actions were heartbreaking for Reeves, but they now allow Corinthos to move on from his last marriage and start a fresh chapter. Will he decide this new beginning should include Ava?

Now that Sonny’s officially a single man again, Ava may work toward the next step in her plan: dropping hints about how Corinthos needs a “powerful” woman by his side who knows how his business works. After all, he has acknowledged himself that Ava has family mob roots, being a part of the Jerome family.

Has Ava been manipulating Sonny all along to become his wife? With Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) wedding weeks away, when Sonny attends, could he get that certain feeling of nostalgia when it comes to marriage?

In addition to being played by Ava, he’s also off his meds, so she could easily drop a hint or two that they should walk down the aisle; if not for love, then for business reasons.

The two would make an incredible power couple, plus Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) would be over the moon! The whole idea could have Sonny bending down on one knee, with Nina’s old ring in hand.
