Kelly Ripa got tongues wagging this week after threatening to retire on LIVE with Kelly And Mark, the talk show she now co-hosts with her husband Mark Consuelos.

Art Moore is a talk show legend, and currently is working as the executive in charge of production on Kelly Ripa’s show LIVE With Kelly And Mark. 

If you tune in regularly, then this isn’t the first time you have heard Kelly and/or Mark reference Art Moore.  He clearly works very closely with the celebrity couple and co-stars, and has spent over 53 years in show business.

Today Kelly revealed on the LIVE stage that Art Moore is leaving them and has decided that he is going to retire at the end of 2024.

It’s safe to say that Ripa didn’t take the news well.  In fact, she even stated that if Art was really leaving, then she is leaving with him.

Kelly explained on LIVE With Kelly and Mark, “I want to pay a tribute today…biggest part of the family at LIVE and at ABC for over 53 years, he’s announcing that ‘the time has come’ coming up soon, and he’s retiring.  Here’s what I know. You aren’t leaving this building without me. I can be retired with Art.”

Kelly Ripa – Hints Retirement AGAIN

Of course, this isn’t the first time Kelly Ripa has brought up retiring on the air.  The network will probably find a replacement for Art Moore, but they can’t exactly find a new Kelly Ripa for LIVE With Kelly and Mark.

There’s always a little bit of truth to a joke, and fans are convinced it won’t be long before Kelly Ripa hang up the talk show towel.
