Kamala Harris Reunites With Abbott Elementary Star Sheryl Lee Ralph

What do Vice President Kamala Harris and Abbott Elementary cast member Sheryl Lee Ralph have in common?  A lot!  Harris and Ralph actually are closer than you would think, and will be reuniting on stage this week in Pennsylvania to take a stand together for women’s rights.  Keep reading for all the details!

Sheryl Lee Ralph is a well-known actress, and is currently starring on the hit series Abbott Elementary.  Last year Ralph actually broke multiple records when she won a Daytime Emmy for her portrayal of Barbara Howard on the Hulu “mockumentary.”

Ralph began her acting career in the early 1980’s and has appeared in dozens of movies and TV shows over the years.  Some of her major roles included Moesha, Designing Women, Ray Donovan, Instant Mom, and MacGyver.  

But, the Abbott Elementary star’s impressive acting resume is just the tip of the iceberg and she’s also an avid women’s rights activist and has participated in multiple events to bring awareness to abortion rights.

Kamala Harris and Sheryl Lee Ralph Are Slated To Take The Stage Together In Pennsylvania This Week To Fight For Womens’ Rights. 

According to People Magazine, “Vice President Kamala Harris will team up with actress Sheryl Lee Ralph during an official campaign stop in Pennsylvania on Wednesday, May 8, to fire voters up about the ongoing threats to women’s freedoms.  The event will be a reunion of sorts for the two, who crossed paths at a Philadelphia mobilization event during Harris’ 2020 vice presidential campaign — and who traveled to Ghana together in the spring of 2023.”

With Donald Trump gearing up for another Presidential campaign, Kamala Harris has been pleading for voters to take women’s rights in to consideration when they vote for the next President.  Recruiting Sheryl Lee Ralph to appear with her in her home state of Pennsylvania makes a lot of sense, especially since Ralph’s husband is a Pennsylvania Senator.
