General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal in a terrible twist of real life imitating art, Johnny Wactor who played the late character Brando Corbin has been shot and killed!
His GH character was killed outside Charlie’s Pub, the first kill of the infamous Hook, revealed to be Heather Webber (Alley Mills).
General Hospital Spoilers: Johnny Wactor Appeared In Nearly 200 Episodes Of GH
Wactor, who appeared in nearly 200 episodes of GH as Brando, according to TMZ was fatally shot in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday morning.
According to his mother Scarlett, Johnny and a coworker witnessed three men tampering with his car. Although the authorities have not disclosed his identity, this incident aligns with a case where three suspects attempted to steal a catalytic converter.
Scarlett reveals that Johnny did not resist or intervene, yet the assailants still shot him before fleeing the scene. Paramedics arrived shortly after 3 AM PT, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
GH Spoilers: No Description Given Of The Perpetrators
The suspects’ description has not been provided by the police. However, Johnny’s mother is hopeful they will be found soon. Johnny began his acting career in 2007 on “Army Wives” and has since appeared in various TV shows like “Westworld,” “The OA,” and “NCIS.”
Fans of Johnny will forever associate him with his role as Brando Corbin on ‘GH’, where he was married to Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson).
He played the character from 2020 until his departure in 2022. Brando, a distant relative of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) showed up at a Corinthos coffee warehouse under attack by Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) gangs. It was a three pronged attack and Brando saved Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) and others’ lives.
General Hospital Spoilers: Wactor’s Mother Remembers Him Fondly
Wactor’s mother fondly recalls him as a caring young man; obviously his passing has deeply saddened the family as well as his fans and former GH coworkers.
He is survived by his mother, and his younger brothers Lance and Grant, and this tragedy hits us hard at General Hospital spoilers as well. He was only 37 years old at the time of his death; arrangements of course will be pending.
General Hospital has been hit with several tragic deaths in the past year or two, with Sonya Eddy, (Epiphany Miller) Billy Miller (former Drew Cain), Tyler Christopher (the original Nikolas Cassadine) all passing away and now Johnny Wactor. We extend our condolences to the Wactor family and hope along with his mother that the perpetrators are caught in a timely manner and punished accordingly.
