Savannah Chrisley has unveiled her plans to break her parents out of jail. She still has hope that Todd and Julie Chrisley will return home soon. She’s not giving up on her fight for prison reform. Their daughter has been advocating on their behalf. Fans realized the next course in her plan.
Savannah Chrisley Speaks at RNC
According to ABC News, Savannah Chrisley spoke at the Republic National Convention in Milwaukee. She took the stage on Tuesday evening (July 16).
The event was rethemed to the slogan, “Make America Safe Again,” an insider told ABC News. Tuesday focused on what the Donald Trump campaign argued is now an unsafe America.
Numerous speakers and events took place during the day. Most of the focus was on drug overdoses, the migrant crisis, and the protection of police officers. The former president rehauled his political campaign after an assassination attempt over the weekend.
Savannah Chrisley was included on the panel. According to TMZ, she planned to slam the Department of Justice for targeting her parents. This comes amid her advocacy for criminal justice reform.
Her parents Todd and Julie Chrisley are currently serving time in jail for bank fraud and tax evasion. The couple entered prison in January 2023. They were originally ordered to serve 19 years in prison.
Todd Chrisley is serving his 12-year prison sentence in Pensacola, Florida, while Julie was ordered to serve seven years in Kentucky. But she will be resentenced for fraud and tax evasion charges, according to a recent ruling. Savannah is confident that she will get her parents out of jail.
Chrisley Fans React
Savannah Chrisley received criticism for her advocacy work. Most people argue that it’s self-serving. They don’t believe she will continue this work if her parents are released from prison. Most fans reacted to Savannah’s appearance at the RNC on Reddit.
“So how does this help T&?” one fan asked. “She’s trying to get him to pardon her parents if elected,” another user responded, referring to Trump possibly pardoning her parents if he’s elected president.
Unfortunately, Savannah Chrisley’s speech wasn’t seen by millions. Some cable networks broke away to a commercial break after she introduced herself. By the time the program returned, she was done speaking. Some fans noticed the crowd wasn’t too moved by her speech either.
Savannah isn’t a stranger to the political world. The Chrisley Knows Best alum appeared at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, D.C. earlier this year. Rather than focusing on prison reform, she mentioned her parents’ ongoing legal issues.
