British royal family news reveals that a new book about Princess Catherine is revealing all sorts of delicious insider insights about the royal family.
Robert Jobson’s new book is titled “Catherine, The Princess Of Wales: The Biography” and drops on August 1. Excerpts are being published exclusively in the Daily Mail and here’s what you need to know about this blockbuster.
Royal Family News – New Book About Princess Catherine
Jobson has chronicled the royal family for decades and his new tome won’t disappoint. Does he think that warring brothers Prince William and Prince Harry will ever bury the hatchet? No way!
The author notes how close Harry and William once were and in particular how eagerly he welcomed Kate to the fold.
In his own words, Harry called Kate “the sister I’ve never had and always wanted.” Fast forward a few years and trashy Harry has resorted to publishing Kate’s private emails as a way to get attention.
Harry Is A Royal Traitor
Harry was so accepting of Kate that on her wedding day he claimed that the late Diana would have been proud to have Catherine as a daughter-in-law. Harry referred to William as the “perfect brother.”
Of course this was long before Harry married Meghan Markle who has been accused of bullying Kate repeatedly. There is no denying Meghan referring to Kate with a bullying name during her infamous Oprah interview in 2021.
What Happened to Harry?
Once Harry married Meghan the two couples were dubbed the “Fab Four.” The name didn’t last long.
Before the acrimony from the Markles “Harry and the Cambridges launched the ambitious Heads Together campaign through their Royal Foundation. Catherine had suggested the idea to her husband as a campaign to draw attention to mental health.”
It’s hard to imagine that closeness today after four years of Harry and Meghan throwing his family under the bus.
Royal Family News – Harry Was Once Close To William And Kate
The book mentions Catherine’s response to Harry and Meghan’s engagement: “William and I are thrilled. It’s such exciting news. It’s a happy time for any couple, and we wish them all the best and hope they enjoy this happy moment.”
Apparently any happiness was short-lived. A source told the author: “I am not saying Meghan was jealous, but she was surprised how lavishly Harry’s brother was living compared to where they were living. It was perhaps the beginning of all the tensions between the couples.”
“Harry, however, later claimed that his father told him there was ‘not enough money to go around’ for Meghan, because he was already having to pay for William and Catherine.”
Never mind that Harry was well into his 30s with a wife and eventually two children: he and Meghan expected to be given an allowance.
We will bring you more updates as tidbits from the book are published, in the meantime, chew on this: “Cracks between the two couples continued to widen – with the help of petty slights, whether imagined or otherwise.”
