There are new reports that suggest Prince Harry and Meghan Markle didn’t bother telling the royal family about their plans to step down as working members of the firm face-to-face but rather sent them an email about it instead. In fact, Harry apparently did not tell anyone about his plans to leave royal life behind but instead messaged his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, and his father, Prince Charles, about his thoughts on the matter. According to Britain’s The Sun, after Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle revealed to senior members of the royal family that they wanted to step down from their roles and become part-time working members instead, they were left shocked, needless to say. Even though both the Queen and Prince Charles reportedly told the Duke and Duchess of Sussex not to rush into anything, they decided to issue a statement to the world to announce their plans anyway.

One source close to the situation puts it this way, “Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles understood that he and Meghan wanted something different and were willing to help but it was complicated. There were issues like security and funding, visas and tax, which neither of them had thought through.

Harry was told to put his request in writing and come up with some ideas. He thought his family were stonewalling and decided to push the nuclear button. Unfortunately, he was just too stubborn, blinkered and bitter to see sense.”

With that said, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have definitely moved on from royal life. The couple had spent the last few months working out their future plans while living in a multi-million-dollar mansion on Vancouver Island.

And despite the fact that the world is now dealing with a global pandemic that is the coronavirus crisis, it was just reported this week that Harry and Meghan have left Canada to start their new lives in Los Angeles.
