B&B Recap Tuesday, August 20: Taylor’s Reunion, Steffy Blames Finn, Hope Obsessed

The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Tuesday, August 20, 2024, is finally here! In today’s episode, Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) reunites with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye). Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) blames John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan).

Meanwhile, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) freaks out over Hope Logan’s (Annika Noelle) obsession.

The Bold And The Beautiful Recap – John Finnegan Explains

B&B recap for Tuesday, August 20 reveal that at the cliff house, a bewildered Steffy asks Finn, “Hope… kissed you? Like, her lips touched yours?” Finn confirms it. 

Meanwhile, at Forrester Creations, Brooke is horrified to learn that Hope kissed Steffy’s husband. Brooke asks what would possess Hope to kiss Finn.

In another office, Ridge is sketching designs. Taylor interrupts and they share an embrace. Ridge is holding onto Taylor for a few moments too long. Taylor hopes Ridge isn’t too disappointed seeing her. Ridge says, “Never.”

Brooke demands answers. Hope doesn’t know what came over her. Brooke calms Hope down, then in a low voice, asks what happened. 

Steffy has her back toward Finn and is furious. Finn explains why he felt that he had to tell Steffy. All Steffy is focused on is that Finn “let” Hope kiss him. Finn is just as baffled as I am. Finn clarifies that he did NOT let Hope kiss him.

Finn keeps trying to repeat exactly what happened. Steffy interrupts, “How many times Finn?” Steffy finally turns around to face her husband. 

B&B Recap – Douglas Forrester Update

Ridge looks at photos of Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) in Paris. Taylor gushes about how happy Douglas, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), and Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) are together. Ridge can hear it in Thomas’ voice during phone calls.

Ridge is jealous that Taylor knew first. The subject turns to Steffy. They are both so proud of Steffy. Taylor hasn’t seen Steffy’s kids yet. Taylor admits she missed her grandkids… and Ridge.

Brooke can’t believe her ears. Brooke says, “So, you just walked up to Finn and kissed him.” Brooke doesn’t understand. Hope doesn’t either. Brooke worries what would have happened if Steffy saw that kiss. Hope says she’s freaking out because she’s never felt so out of control. Brooke admits this is out of character for Hope. Brooke plays the therapist and asks Hope to talk about her feelings.

Hope says the kiss felt right until she opened her eyes and saw Finn’s expression. Hope doesn’t understand what’s happening to her. Brooke says that Hope is becoming completely fixated on Steffy’s husband. Oh, you mean obsessed, like Thomas was with Hope? Interesting!

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s Final Straw

The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Tuesday, August 20 reveals that Finn says he didn’t have time to react as the kiss came out of the blue. Steffy says she warned Finn about the Logans and he didn’t listen. So, that someone equates to Finn “asking for it?” Back to the scene, Finn explains that he did hear Steffy’s concerns, but he was just trying to keep the peace.

Steffy rambles off a list of Hope’s flaws, including her failing fashion line and shattered relationships. Finn admits he should have listened to Steffy, that he was just trying to be a friend to Hope. Steffy says that Finn cared more about being friends with Hope than about respecting her feelings.

I think that’s quite a stretch, but okay, Steffy. Finn stands there and listens to Steffy ranting endlessly. Finn’s face turns from regret and confusion to irritation. Steffy blames Finn for all of this.

Taylor congratulates Ridge on the success of Brooke’s Bedroom. Taylor says Ridge looked handsome, then quickly covers by adding, “… from the photos.” Taylor questions Ridge about making Brooke a part of the executive team. Taylor thinks Ridge should have let Steffy decide who would fill the role. Taylor brings up Hope for the Future. Ridge says he will always do what’s best for the company. That’s great, but Taylor says what’s best for their daughter?

Brooke wants to know if Hope is going after Steffy’s husband. Hope says she doesn’t want to, but it doesn’t sound convincing. Brooke wants to be sure that Hope can control her feelings. Hope says she has to because Finn plans on telling Steffy about the kiss. Brooke is horrified.

B&B Recap – Tuesday, August 20, 2024

Steffy claims that Finn must have had some idea of Hope’s intentions. Oh, now Finn is supposed to be psychic. Steffy starts mocking Finn. Steffy uses grand hand gestures as she belittles Finn’s kindness. Steffy compares the Hope situation to Sheila Carter Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown).

Steffy is noticing a pattern. Steffy says she can’t do this again. Finn is alarmed and asks Steffy to clarify what she means by that.

Taylor apologizes for questioning Ridge’s company decisions. Ridge understands it’s because Taylor loves Steffy so much. They argue about Steffy and Brooke. Ridge thinks Steffy and Brooke will be friends one day. Ridge doesn’t want to eliminate HFTF yet because of all the money invested in the line.

Ridge believes in his decisions as he wants the Forrester and the Logans to work together for the grandkids’ sake. Ridge thinks that Brooke and Steffy are where to start.

Brooke is flipping out over how Steffy will react to the kiss. Brooke tells Hope that Steffy will use the kiss to drive a wedge between the two families again. Hope admits she didn’t think how the kiss would affect Brooke, Ridge, or her line.

Brooke says she is more concerned about Hope’s well-being as she’s acting so out of character. Brooke notices a pattern with Thomas and Finn. Brooke desperately begs Hope to cut off her feelings for Finn before she ruins her whole life. Hope hears Brooke and promises to do “what I can.” 

Steffy tells Finn that he kissed Hope despite knowing everything she went through with Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton). Finn was just trying to do the right thing, he says. Finn asks for forgiveness. Steffy is silent but her face suggests she’s about to walk away from the marriage.
