Anna Delvey Reveals How Prison Connected Her To ABC’s ‘Dancing With The Stars’

The 33rd season of Dancing With the Stars may have invited more drama than is necessary with the casting of convicted felon Anna Delvey – ankle monitor and all – but that didn’t seem to stop the stars from breaking out their best moves on the dance floor.

Here’s all the drama and the rhythm you can expect to find in the new season of the competition series.

‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 33 Releases Thrilling Trailer

Time for controversies is over, it’s officially time for people to break out some beautiful footwork, shimmies, twerks, you know, the whole works.

Anna Delvey Reveals How Prison Connected Her To ABC's 'Dancing With The Stars'

In the first look trailer, we’re introduced to stars Jenn Tran, Danny Amendola, Anna Delvey, Joey Graziadei, Dwight Howard, Chandler Kinney, Ilona Maher, Brooks Nader, Phaedra Parks, Eric Roberts, Tori Spelling and Reginald VelJohnson’s dance teasers, which is made to Megan Thee Stallion’s hit song, ‘Mamushi.’

However, it seems likely that most eyes – if not all eyes – will fall on Anna Delvey, the felon who scammed people with the heiress persona. In the teaser, we hear her reveal, “The only time I watched the show was when I was in prison.” She then flashed her ankle monitor, adding, “I was forced to watch it.”

Despite being a convicted felon, Delvey did not take kindly to Whoopi Goldberg’s criticisms on ‘The View,’ slamming the ladies by telling them to “vote” and “stay nasty.”

However, Delvey wasn’t the only one sharing interesting details regarding what fans can expect from the dancefloor as they battle for the coveted Mirrorball trophy.

For example, Devin Strader is promising even more fiery moments than what fans witnessed on ‘The Bachelorette’ when it comes to her ballroom dance skills. “My dancing this season,” she explained in the promo, “is going to be as jaw-dropping as my finale on the Bachelorette.”I do think Bravo star Phaedra one-upped Strader’s speech with her own proclamation, “I might be a traitor, but I’m going to kill this dance floor.”

One thing is for sure, these stars are ready to dance.
