Show boss Iain MacLeod teased that Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and other families would go through a hard-hitting story after finding stability with Tracy McDonald (Kate Ford).

Leanne Battersby Drops Off, Son

Corrie spoilers reveal that Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) drops off Oliver to spend the day with Steve. However, he ends up having Summer Spellman (Matilda Freeman) babysit him because he’s busy dealing with Emma Brooker (Alexandra Mardell).

Not only does she deal with the dog Eccles dying, but she just went through a breakup. We will also see her try to reclaim her home and literally throw Sebastian “Seb” Franklin’s (Harry Visinoni) belongings out the second-floor window. Steve happens to see the tense scene and rushes to intervene.

Corrie Spoilers: Oliver Battersby’s Seizure

Once Steve calms down Emma, he returns to find Summer in a panic. While he was dealing with Emma, Oliver had a seizure. According to Digital Spy, there is reason to believe that there is another incident with Oliver at a park. This suggests that Oliver might have more seizures.

Iain MacLeod Teases Hard-Hitting Story

Coronation Street spoilers reveal that MacLeod teased that once Steve and Tracy’s marriage was back on track, there would be another big story. According to Metro, the show boss warned,

“… having re-established Steve and Tracy’s relationship on its strongest footing, something will happen that probably has the most far-reaching impact of any story we’ve done since I’ve been on the show… something horrifically difficult and challenges will happen that draws in 3-4 different clans… forces them to deal with the hardest thing anyone would ever have to deal with.”

There is speculation that Oliver could suffer a medical emergency. If he has repeated seizures, that is dangerous in itself. It could also be a symptom of another condition, like a brain tumor or cancer.

Could Steve and others have to cope with losing a toddler in such a cruel way? Could we see a child’s death in upcoming episodes? This storyline will begin on Friday, April 10. Fans will have to keep watching the British soap opera to find out what happens next.
