Coronation Street Spoilers – Is Joel Deering Dead Amidst A Sinister Discovery?

Viewers will remember a desperate and drunken Joel harassing Roy Cropper (David Neilson) in his restaurant-Roy felt he was a danger to himself. There are growing suspicions that the predatory villain Joel may be dead next week, but is that the whole story?

After receiving a voice message from Joel, Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) shares it with DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers), who suggests it might be a suicide note.

Using Joel’s phone signal, Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) tracks down his last known location and discovers his car parked on a bridge, with a folded note resting on the dashboard. Lisa then reveals that they are now searching for Joel’s body—yet, has Joel truly ended his own life?

Could Evil Joel Deering Be On The Run?

Dee-Dee shares with Kit that she reached out to both the wedding venue and the travel agency, discovering that Joel has already retrieved their deposits. As the week unfolds, Dee-Dee confronts Joel’s father, Gus Deering (Chris Garner), at the police station.

She implies that Joel may have fled, prompting Lisa to intervene and urge Dee-Dee to come to terms with the possibility that Joel is no longer alive. But with no body found, is he truly gone?

Paul Foreman’s Funeral Drama Continues

Paul’s funeral is planned, and he receives two contrasting farewells as arrangements for his ashes are discussed, a traditional service and a rave.

With no consensus reached regarding the service, Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) proposes to Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) that they select the flowers together.

However, this suggestion sparks another argument, leading Bernie to confide in Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) she will ensure his ashes are laid to rest in a meaningful spot.

As the funeral day approaches, a heartbroken Billy readies himself for the ceremony, which coincides with what would have been his and Paul’s first wedding anniversary.

To his dismay, he discovers Paul’s inebriated father, Denny Foreman, (Danny Cunningham) lurking in the church’s shadows.

Billy Orders Denny To Behave

Billy warns Denny to keep a low profile and stay hidden. Meanwhile, Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce), Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby), Kit, David Platt (Jack P Shepherd), Chesney Brown (Sam Aston), and Dee-Dee carry Paul’s coffin. Gemma Winter-Brown (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Bernie trail behind them down the aisle.

As Billy starts the service, the next day sees the final touches being put on the memorial rave dedicated to Paul. Bernie requests Todd to bring Paul’s ashes so she can place them in a prime spot on the dance floor.

Paul Foreman’s Ashes Disappear!

However, a bleary-eyed Billy is taken aback to find the ashes missing when he goes to retrieve them. Bernie expresses her gratitude to the attendees for honoring Paul with an unforgettable night and shares her ambitious plan to launch his ashes into space!

Billy was upset enough that Bernie wanted to give Paul a rave, and disagreed he’d want a traditional funeral as a sendoff!

How will Billy respond to this unexpected twist? Might he be tempted to send Bernie into space instead?

Desperate Measures For Bethany’s Bills

Elsewhere, Bethany Platt’s (Lucy Fallon) family is working hard to gather the necessary funds for her medical treatment. At the same time, Damon Hay (Ciarán Griffiths) leaves a voicemail for her mother, Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien).

Stranded in Turkey and unable to check her messages, Sarah turns to her ex-husband Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) for help.

When Adam listens to her voicemail, he is taken aback to hear from Sarah’s former boyfriend, Damon. The question looms: will Adam reveal this information to Sarah or keep it to himself?

The Cosmetic Surgery Firm Makes An Offer

Meanwhile, at the hospital in Turkey, the CEO of the cosmetic surgery firm approaches Sarah with an offer to cover her hotel expenses.

However, Sarah insists that they should be responsible for Bethany’s medical costs, only to be handed Bethany’s consent form by the CEO.

In Weatherfield, David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) confides in his grandmother Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) about the company’s refusal to pay.

Audrey suggests they take to social media to reveal the company’s true nature. Meanwhile, Gail Rodwell, (Helen Worth), Bethany’s grandmother, proposes selling the house to gather the necessary funds.

David Shocked, Daniel Tells Ken His Plan

In response to Gail’s proposal to selling their house, David is shocked and reminds her that this would leave them without a home. At the same time, Bethany’s boyfriend Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) shares his intention to use part of his son Bertie Osbourne’s (Rufus Morgan-Smith) trust fund to assist her.

Daniel’s father, Ken Barlow (William Roache), advises him to reconsider, leaving the question of who will cover Bethany’s hospital expenses. After deciding to undergo liposuction, Bethany now has to adjust to living with a permanent stoma in the weeks ahead.

Fiz Dobbs Falls Ill As Hope Dobbs Continues Vaping

Hope Dobbs (Isabella Flanagan) creates more trouble as her mother, Fiz Dobbs (Jennie McAlpine), becomes unwell; Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) plans a romantic dinner to make up for Fiz’s spoiled birthday.

However, after feeling dizzy at work, Fiz decides to see a doctor-later, Tyrone tells Hope and Ruby Dobbs (Billie Naylor) that Fiz is not feeling well. His worries for his wife take a backseat when he finds Hope’s pencil case, from which a vape falls out.

Both Tyrone and Fiz are shocked when a confident Hope admits she took it from the corner shop! Will she feel guilty, or are Fiz and Tyrone facing an even bigger issue with Hope-and what is wrong with Fiz?

Mason’s Sad Confession

Teen Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) opens up to Stu Carpenter (Bill Fellows). Stu is surprised to see Mason already on the job, and the young man reveals he stayed overnight at Speed Daal to escape another beating from his brothers.

Considering his own experiences, can Stu offer some support? Mason clearly has a sensitive side, but how challenging is his home life really? Will the community eventually come to accept Mason, who has been a target of bullying?

What Is Upsetting Carla Connor?

What troubles the resolute Carla Connor (Alison King)? Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) arrives at the factory, bringing with him an official-looking letter addressed to her, and the moment she lays eyes on its contents, a shadow crosses her face.

Later, in the café, Ryan confides in Lisa about Carla’s mounting anxiety regarding her upcoming plea hearing.

However, as Lisa ponders over the situation, she begins to question whether there is a deeper turmoil gnawing at Carla’s composure. What could possibly have unsettled her so?
