General Hospital Spoilers: Sam Dies, And Dante Maintains A Stronghold On Drew And Jason’s Kids

General Hospital spoilers reveal Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is slated to die soon — marking the end of an era with her on GH for the last 21 years. The rollercoaster of emotions Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is bound to experience in the aftermath of her death is no joke.

He’ll likely feel some resentment for Lulu Falconeri (Alexa Havins) even needing a donor, but he may also blame himself for letting Sam go through with the transplant. He never imagined she would suffer any consequences from this seemingly routine and straightforward procedure.

When Sam is gone, Dante may struggle to move on with his life, and he may want to hang onto any part of her that he can. Does that mean keeping the penthouse apartment she owned? Does that mean distancing himself from his own family and spending more time with hers?

Does it mean attempting to hold onto Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) and Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante) even though they have their own fathers?

General Hospital Spoilers — Sam’s Last Call

The fans took note when Sam linked up with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) at the Q mansion. A sentimental moment for sure, they couldn’t play into too much emotion because it’s not as though any of them knew yet that Sam wasn’t going to make it out of this operation alive.

Still, it didn’t fall on deaf ears that Sam had to ask both of the fathers of her children to regularly spend some time with their kids at the family estate. This implied that this isn’t something they generally do.

While we know that Jason hasn’t been allowed to see Danny until more recently, fans got the impression that wasn’t a problem anymore. But it seems like he’s still steering clear. Are he and Drew too busy for their own kids?

GH Spoilers Say It’s Too Much Too Soon

Dante may feel like he’s been the primary father figure in both Danny’s and Scout’s lives — and he may not be wrong.

Jason has only been home for just over six months, and much of that he still had to refrain from spending time with Danny. Now that they’re cool to be father and son, we haven’t seen much of them together.

Since Drew decided to run for Congress, the time he has spent with Scout seems to have diminished as well. Remember how focused he was on her before, wanting to ensure she was happy and in the best school and so forth? What happened to that guy?

If Dante has a hard time letting go of Danny and Scout, it may be because he feels he’s losing the family he built with Sam — because he is.

General Hospital Spoilers — Dante Goes for the Jugular

Of course, there are kosher ways to handle this. We can’t see a world in which either Jason or Drew would have any issue with Dante and Rocco Falconeri (Finn Francis Carr) remaining in Danny’s and Scout’s lives. But Dante may not go about it in the cleanest fashion.

His grief following Sam’s death could come out as anger and rage — and he just might take it out on the two men who weren’t there for her and their children enough, even though it was often Sam who pushed them away.

Lambasting Jason and Drew for being absent fathers isn’t likely to go over well. Can Dante find healthy ways to process his heartbreak in the aftermath of Sam’s death? We sure hope so! Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.

Dante needs to hear from Maxie what Lulu had told her prior to going in coma also it wasn’t long ago Dante had said how he hoped Lulu would live & he loved her still & he knows how much the kids missed her. Sure it will be hard losing Sam but if she lived he would’ve been torn between them. Lulu was his wife he had a child with & he wasn’t married to Sam but was helping her with kids & yes he should still be in their lives but Jason is Danny’s dad & he needs to step up they were starting to bond that needs to build. ALso Drew needs to be in scouts life & the Q’s won’t be happy with what he’s done with willow & Nina he might be kicked to the curb. Not sure how that’s going down but would be sad scout loses her mom & dad maybe Alexis will need to step in care for scout with Kristina & Molly’s her aunts helping her too. They will need to bond as family. Loss is very hard & support is needed.

Really right now it does not matter that LuLu wanted to tell Dante she still loved him before she fell in the coma! What matters now is that GH has become the most blood thirsty unwatchable soap opera on air! There is no happiness on this soap! No love on this soap! The writers are horrible! From making the best couple in years Sasha and Cody first cousins! To freeing Serial killer Heather Webber to plot to get Ace to herself , I knew the poison hip storyline was ridiculous ,she is back to her old ways! Plotting to make Dex get Molly of all people pregnant! Now we have to sit and watch Cyrus Kill Sam?!? What sense does that make? Why? What has Sam ever done to him? I’m just so over these crazy plots ..Sitwell is back to get the ice princess diamonds and kidnaps Sasha? Really. You had the Audacity to expose the Willow Drew kiss without the real Michael there?!? This soap is off the chain! I’m just so sick of it all The new Soap the Gates is sounding better every day GH is headed for cancelation at this pace!

Well Drew doesn’t disappoint. Instead of letting Ned run ELQ, He rather cause discord and ruin lives in the Quatermaine family. I remember when Drew used to be one of the good guys. My respect for him jumped 25 points

Very sad to see Sam go, she been a real solid character for years. She has been a part of some very
amazing storylines throughout the tenure. She went from a wreck diving con-artist looking for dead man’s hand with Luke and Jax, to being portrayed as a princess in a scheme to help Jax trick the Cassidines. She was the middle in a Sonny and Jax Tug or war, to a cast aside hopeless pregnant woman found by Jason to pick up the pieces…
She had her baby used for spare parts by her once estranged unknown mother Alexis, to get shot by a man, her now devoted mother freed from Prison and be told she’d never have kids again. She was a part of one of the most badass supercouple’s Fair Samantha and Stone cold, which led to the whole Franco subsection.
She had a great adversarial relationship with two powerhouse character’s The maternal one “Elizabeth Webber” and The “Valkyrie” Carly Corinthos. She held her own against Amelia Joffe producer of “Everyday Hero’s and she even managed a steamy side plot romance with Lucky Spencer (Greg Vaughn). and lets not for get, she saved the Metro Court during the Hostage crisis with Jerry Jax. I could go on, but I say, Take a bow Kelly, you will be missed. you’ve left a great body of work in your wake. it’s truly their loss.

Don’t want to see Dante have problems with Sam’s kids going with their fathers or their fathers having a say into what will occur with the children’s lives post Sam. Regardless of the problems with both fathers, each should have chance to care for or have their child cared for until an adult. Jason needs to get out of living over Bobbie’s and get back into his penthouse every one but he has enjoyed for years and take a true stance at raising Danny which won’t be too long until he is of age. Not too sure about Scout. But then the Q mansion is always there for the children of lost Q’s or Q’s unable to take care of their children.

  6. […] Dante is probably trying to figure out how he will make it through Sam’s funeral, when he’s nowhere near ready to let her go. On the other hand, there is still no word on exactly what happened that killed her after the liver donation. […]
