General Hospital Spoilers: Portia Points The Blame On Lucas For Sam’s Death

General Hospital spoilers tease that the shocking death of Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is sending shock waves throughout Port Charles.
As viewers know, Sam agreed to be Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havans) liver donor, but she insisted that her own half-brother Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) be the surgeon for her part of the surgery. It’s against hospital policy but Sam agreed to sign a waiver that basically that would allow Lucas to operate on his own family member.
General Hospital Spoilers – Sam McCall Seemed To Be Just Fine After Surgery
As expected, Sam’s part of the surgery went well, and she woke up in recovery where she had emotional moments with both Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zomprogna) and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).
While Alexis was in with Sam, things suddenly took a dangerous turn when Sam suffered a heart attack and died. The hospital did extensive testing before the surgery to ensure that the risks to Sam were minimal. Therefore, at the moment, the reason for Sam’s heart attack remains unclear.
GH Spoilers – Port Charles Mourns For Sam McCall
At the moment, word is still spreading about Sam’s death. There will be time for an investigation a bit later down the road, but for now, everyone needs to mourn. But once Sam is buried, look for her loved to demand an explanation about why Sam suddenly died.
Alexis has already demanded that Dr. Portia Robinson (Brooke Kerr) discovers exactly what happened. Portia is known for making accusations based on her own feelings and opinions. And the easiest target for Portia will certainly be Lucas himself.
General Hospital Spoilers – Portia Robinson Should Be Careful With Her Accusations
Lucas feels bad enough about what happened to Sam without Portia trying to place the blame on him because he operated on his own relative. Perhaps he shouldn’t have done the surgery, but it was Sam herself who insisted. Portia should keep in mind that she isn’t perfect.
In fact, Lucas’ ex-husband, Brad Cooper (Perry Shen) is blackmailing Portia for altering Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) blood work. But Brad still loves Lucas and could easily turn Portia in for her own crimes if she pushes too hard about Lucas.

I feel Jason’s and Alexis’ goodbyes will be the best done for Sam’s demise. Jason’s and Alexis tears made me almost feel as though their scenes were a real life situation. The actor’s gave their all and viewers could feel the pain. Jason’s expressions of loss were extremely sensitive as he rarely shows any type emotion. From his hesitation to go into Sam’s room – talking to her and remembering their life together was a tug on the heart strings, not to mention his telling the kids of their loss. Jason’s kiss to the forehead was also touching as if he was saying this will be my last kiss for you. Even though writers never brought the two back as a pairing, Jason’s emotional goodbye brought a small closure on the two character’s life together. Good work from both Alexis/Jason on their initial goodbyes to Sam – glad writers penned Jason as being the first outside of the family to say goodbye to Sam. Know the funeral will bring further tears from the rest of the characters.
