We’ve known for a while that Disney is developing a new ‘Pirates of the Caribbean,’ don’t we? That is, one that’s different from the rumored Margot Robbie-led one that gained no steam. Already, there are talks it will be more feminist-inclined than the original – though fans are still struggling to understand what that means.
In fact, the thing is that there are several ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ script in development, and one could bring back Johnny Depp. I mean, we want him back, Orlando Bloom wants him back, the franchise’s producers want him back, so why not?
A Johnny Depp-led ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’ Script Is Under Development
Depp gave decades of his life to the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ franchise for Disney to toss him aside at the first sign of trouble. As a result of this, Depp promised that he won’t be returning to work for the company no matter the kind of offer he was given.
However, it’s been a few years since he said that, so it’s possible he’s had a change of mind. So far, reports say that Disney is yet to officially reach out to him to make the offer, so it’s possible the offer can be rejected and nothing will proceed.
With or without Depp, Disney is apparently keen on rekindling fan love for the million-dollar franchise that spawned five fantastic movies.
The movies mostly revolved around Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow character and the unique way he is portrayed as both an eccentric sea-lover and a genius, though mostly eccentric.
‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ producer Jerry Bruckheimer confirmed that the studio is developing two original ideas – one that features Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow and another that does not. One insider revealed to Variety, “Nothing has been ruled out.”
Depp and Disney publicly fell out after ex-wife Amber Heard wrote an op-ed detailing her ordeal in the hands of a “wife-beater” and sexual assaulter. Even though she did not name Depp even once in the article, the ensuing effects it had on Depp’s career was like a falling dominoes.
Disney and Warner Bros dumped him, and for a while it seemed that Hollywood has turned its back on him.
Happily for him, he’s regaining his former status as an A-lister with every chunk of the cake he bites. Who knows what the future holds for him? Maybe a cherished hat, some braids, black eye pencil and a swagger?

Johnny Depp made Captain Jack Sparrow. Pirates is nothing without him. I for one, have not seen, bought, or want anything to do with Disney. You and others threw him away before you ever found out the outcome. You just assumed he was guilty. Disney is nothing without Johnny Depp!!! Shame on you.
