General Hospital Fans Are Buzzing About Michael Corinthos’ Exit – When Should We Expect Him To Leave Port Charles & How?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that Chad Duell recently announced he is exiting the role of Michael Corinthos. The actor took to Instagram to share the news about his departure, after 14 years in the role. Executive producer Frank Valentini confirmed the announcement shortly after Duell’s IG post, on the social media platform, X, noting that there were no plans to recast the character.

This means that Michael’s story will come to a close, but when will it happen and how will it all go down?

General Hospital Spoilers – Michael Corinthos’ Exit Happening In 2025

In Valentini’s tweet, he also stated that a story around Michael’s exit would unravel in the “new year”, so it sounds like Corinthos will leave storylines sometime in early 2025. No exact date has been announced as of yet.

Duell entered the role in 2010 as a recast, taking the part over from actor Drew Garrett, and also won a Daytime Emmy for his portrayal of the character, in 2015.

While actor Robert Adamson (ex-Young and the Restless’ Noah Newman) was a temporary recast for Michael, now and again, it looks like he won’t be filling in as “Michael” once Duell exits.

GH Spoilers – How Will Michael Corinthos Exit?

As Valentini promised a “great story for Michael and his family when Chad exits in the new year,” in his tweet when he confirmed Duell’s departure, many fans seem to believe that Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) will somehow be connected to his nephew’s exit.

As Drew has been messing around with Michael’s wife, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), could the two get into a physical fight that leaves Michael in a perilous situation? Michael could be presumed dead, or he could also get arrested and head to jail! Drew can be that sneaky, right?

Then again, Michael can be just as sneaky! Could he fake his own death and try to pin his uncle for it? As Michael’s dad, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is a mob boss, could his son get caught in the crosshairs of an explosion or shoot-out, meant for this father? Only time will tell!
