When Hope Calls first aired in 2019 on Hallmark Channel as a spinoff to the hit show When Calls the Heart, now fans are urging Hallmark to renew it for a second season.
When Hope Calls is a spinoff to Hallmark Channel’s popular hit drama, When Calls the Heart. The new show started airing exclusively on the streaming-only service, Hallmark Movies Now. In February, When Hope Calls started airing season 1 episodes on the Hallmark Channel on Sunday nights, directly following When Calls the Heart. However, season 1 is about to come to an end.
Will Hallmark Renew When Hope Calls for Season 2?
The TV broadcast of When Hope Calls has drawn a new group of people to the series and they are enjoying it. As we head to the finale episode on Sunday, those same fans are hoping for a second season. Fans took to social media, begging the Hallmark Channel to renew the spinoff for a second season.
One fan tweeted, “Who else is hoping for a Season 2?” adding they would love to see the amazing and talented cast back in Brookfield. Executive Producer Brian Bird also took to Twitter, retweeting the message of support and adding his own, “From your lips to @hallmarkchannel’s ears.”

Another fan tweeted that When Hope Calls is “such a well written, beautifully acted show!” They continued by writing that they love the unique piece each character brings to Brookfield. They said they truly cannot pick a favorite, going on to ask Hallmark to please renew the show for another season.
How well is When Hope Calls doing?
Obviously, Hallmark’s response to the messages depends on how well the When Calls the Heart spinoff is doing with viewers. Hallmark didn’t reveal the number of viewers when When Hope Calls was streaming on Hallmark Movies Now.
However, since it started airing on the Hallmark Channel, the show is averaging 1.6 million viewers each episode. It is not yet as popular as When Calls the Heart, which averages 2.4 million viewers for each season 7 episode.
Hallmark Channel TV Shows – What is When Hope Calls about?
When Hope Calls tells the story of two sisters, Lillian (Morgan Kohan) and Grace (Jocelyn Hudon). The sisters grew up separately, but have reunited as adults. They now run an orphanage in the town of Brookfield, close to Hope Valley.
Co-stars include RJ Hatanaka as Constable Gabe Kinslow, Greg Hovanessian as Chuck Stewart and Wendy Crewson as Tess Stewart, Chuck’s mother.
As When Hope Calls increases in popularity, fans are definitely hoping the show will be renewed for another season. As they say, patience is a virtue, as they will have to wait for Hallmark’s decision.

Love the When Hope Calls show. The crossovers between that show and When Calls the Heart are interesting and very well woven together. Love both shows and hope to see season 2. I hoping Grace gets back from England and gets her man!
Great series my wife and I just found it on the Roku Channel app and started watching it this afternoon and continued non stop watched all 10 episodes! Then I find out that it may not return wow no wonder so many Television channels are having trouble anymore when they have a great series they drop it and start up a new series that is stupid as heck!! Someone smack these people in the back of the head and wake them up make them listen to their viewers not the jackasses in the next office that has never watched any of the programs. Just get it done and bring it back soon
