Spencer Pratt Lambastes Gavin Newsom For Italy Visit

Spencer Pratt, best known for The Hills, isn’t afraid to throw shade when he feels it’s justified. And this weekend, he lambasted Gavin Newsom, the Governor of California, who currently visits Italy. Read on for more details.

Angry And Scathing

Back in 2022, fans might recall that Spencer Pratt called out Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay) from Friends as “one of the worst humans.” Well, it seems that this week, Gavin Newsom joined up in his non-fan club. The rant arrived on Pratt’s Instagram profile page and he found a lot of responses.

In the text message that he shared from X, Spencer noted that Gavin’s in Italy, after “letting my town burn down with all my wealth and possessions.” Of course, he referred to the fact that he lost his home in the Pacific Palisades wildfires this year.

In his caption, Pratt ranted a bit more, writing:

Newsom is in Italy right now with his first partner and first kids. Newsom says “This time of year traditionally has not been fire season, but now we disabuse any notion that there is a season. It’s year‑round in the state of California.” – So just like Karen Bass going to AFRICA you leave your state during fire season! Are you gonna make all your emergency calls from the plane like Bass and then delete all the texts ?

As Spencer has been very vocal ever since the California wildfires in January, many fans felt supportive of the lambasting that Gavin Newsom got. One of them wrote, “Keep going Spencer! Take back that glorious state.”

Some people in the comments reacted by suggesting that Pratt is merely a supporter of the current president. However, as General Hospital star Cameron Mathison (Drew Cain) explained several times, losing a home and all your possessions is surreal and absolutely shocking.

Many people were affected by the fires earlier this year, and it’s not unreasonable, some fans feel, to expect the governor to be around for residents who might face more wildfires.
