NBC Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates confirm that Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) are getting married. However, the two are still pretty young. Plus, marriage isn’t just about loving someone. There are still so many factors that go into a marriage that “Cin” probably haven’t discussed. Let’s go through the reasons why they should wait.

Ben Weston’s Mental Health

DOOL fans are well aware of Ben’s history. Now, everyone has a past and he’s been redeemed. He no longer is a risk to Salem — as long as he keeps taking his anti-psychotics. However, those in the mental health field know that it’s not just about taking a pill each day. Medications can start becoming less effective over time, and sometimes may completely stop working. There are also “triggers” and it seems that Ben has gone through a lot of those recently.

There is also the fact that Ciara has played the serial killer card twice now to get out of situations. Sure, she was left with no choice and had to say something to save the day. But in soaps, this usually is foretelling what’s ahead. Could Ben’s murderous tendencies come back with a vengeance? Is that why it’s been mentioned more than once?

We aren’t saying that Ben’s past should prevent him from getting married. But has “Cin” even talked about what they will do if the psychosis returns? Is there a safety plan in place?

DOOL Spoilers: Too Much Going On

Right now, there is a whole lot going on in Salem. There are three other couples getting married in July. There is the big mystery surrounding Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash). Ben was mistaken for his boss and beaten with a crowbar. Ciara’s mom, Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) is still dealing with the guilt of Princess Gina von Amberg’s actions.

There is just way too much going on and that doesn’t include what’s coming in the next few weeks.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: New Job and Limited Finances

Ben and Ciara were out of work and the reformed serial killer was having trouble finding anyone who would hire him. He did finally land a job at a garage. But with Jake’s dark past coming out, will Ben be able to keep that job? Ciara has already asked him to quit once. Plus, it doesn’t appear that Ciara has found employment yet. She spends all her time hanging out at the garage with Ben.

Even if Ben is guaranteed a job for a lifetime, they are just getting on their feet. The smart thing would be to pay off all their debt and have a nice nest egg in savings. They could even plan the wedding of their dreams by saving money. Ben still doesn’t have the funds to get Ciara a real ring, so how are they going to pay for a real wedding?
