Mandy Moore Opens Up About Friendship With Meghan Markle

It looks like Mandy Moore goes way back with former Hollywood actress Meghan Markle. As a matter of fact, the This is Us star had nothing but positive things to say about the Duchess of Sussex, as apparently the two ladies used to be good friends while they worked on a film together over ten years ago.

Speaking to The Today Show, Mandy, who now plays Rebecca Pearson on the massive hit dramedy This is Us, says that she and Meghan worked on the 2007 romantic comedy License to Wed. And apparently, the two ladies hit it off real well.

Mandy told the show, “Her ex-husband was a producer on a movie that I worked on, so I met her back in 2006 and spent a lot of time with them, a lot of time with her, and she is a lovely, generous woman.”

As a matter of fact, Mandy and Meghan have been photographed together on numerous occasions. And from what fans can tell, they did look pretty close as friends, especially during filming of the movie.

“We spent a lot of time in Jamaica where some of the movie was shot,” she recalled. “We spent quite a bit of time — I think we spent New Year’s with them that year. We spent some time over the summer in the Hamptons with them.”

And while Mandy hasn’t seen in the Duchess in years, she still has nothing but wonderful and positive things to say about her. “She was very kind and said that she really likes ‘This Is Us.’ She watches the show, so that was pretty cool,” Moore shared, laughing. “She’s just a normal, regular girl.”
