Susan Lucci Says All My Children Reboot Is “Bubbling As We Speak”

Just when All My Children fans had given up hope on the soap opera reboot they have been promised for years, fan fave Susan Lucci dropped a bomb about the possible return of Erica Kane.  Is Pine Valley REALLY coming back to our television screens?  Keep reading to find out! 

All My Children debuted in 1971 and was one of the longest running daytime soaps until it was pulled off the air in 2011.  After ABC canceled the daytime show, Hulu proceeded to pick it up and aired new episodes online for two more years.  Hulu abandoned ship in 2013.

During the pandemic, there was a television reboot craze and several nostalgic series got a resurrection.  All My Children reboot rumors began floating around and the reception was pretty positive online. 

All My Children Reboot Is Bubbling

In 2020 it was confirmed that ABC was working on a primetime AMC reboot and Kelly Ripa and her real life husband Mark Consuelos were tapped as producers.  Sadly, three years have passed and nothing has come of the reboot. 

In fact, before Susan Lucci’s interview this month we thought that ship had sailed entirely.  However, Queen Kane has confirmed there’s still hope.  

Susan Lucci sat down for a chat on CBS’ Soapy Podcast this month (January 2026) and she had a lot to say about the All My Children spinoff. 

Lucci joked, “It’s been bubbling for several years.  And then just when I think that it probably isn’t bubbling anymore, it’s bubbling. It’s bubbling as we speak.”

Susan Lucci Talks New AMC Reboot

Recently there were rumors about Lifetime picking up the rights to the soap opera.  If there’s any truth to that, maybe that explains why the “reboot is bubbling again.” 

If Susan Lucci is excited, then we are excited.  The AMC royalty would probably be the first to know anything about a reboot.
