Kirsten Storms, who plays Maxie Jones on General Hospital (GH), recently made a statement. And it seemed very important to her, but it wasn’t about her health. Instead, it was about something way more relatable. Read on to find out more details.

The Relatable Post

The real-life Maxie Jones, who returns to the ABC soap next month, after a health hiatus didn’t post about her upcoming scenes, either. Instead, she talked about the never-ending tussle between giving your stylist the benefit of the doubt and thinking, “No, I can do it.” And really, who of us hasn’t been there?

On Sunday, Kirsten took to her Instagram account and shared something personal with her GH followers. If you ever worry about hair-coloring, then this might resonate with you. In her caption, the ABC star wrote:

First, @abrahamjosephr…I did not have to color correct (or call you for an emergency color correction appt) and I fiiiinally *successfully* lighted my hair with @sallybeauty products.  Not sure why (I know why…) but since the “green hair disaster” during Covid, I’ve needed to figure out how to concur the kitchen beautician skills.

Next, she added, “Still won’t attempt to do acrylic nails again. Ever. I’m holding this win in my heart for a little bit.”

Is There A Problem?

Now, if you don’t know who Abraham Joseph Rivera is, he could very well be Kirsten Storms’ hair artist. The type of stylist who, most probably, at the mere thought of you doing a hair experiment at home, might even give you “the look.”

And, from the sound of it, there appears to be some sort of inside joke, or perhaps a friendly rivalry between them. The post by Kirsten is full of that “I told you so” vibe, an innocent tease at her professional stylist.

Remembering The COVID Days

Certainly, Kirsten Storms’ post brings back memories of the COVID years. Actually, we all probably became “kitchen beauticians” for some time just by necessity. I think we’ve all seen some instances that were less successful at times. Kirsten seemingly belongs to that group and it seems that Abraham hasn’t let her forget it.

Actually, General Hospital fans might have thought the tone of the post was aggressive. But, you can relax as they joked with each other in the post. So, it’s simply an inside joke, about a history of hair mishaps and the saving of the day by professionals.

ABC Fans React

In the comments section, plenty of ABC soap fans had their say about it. One of them wrote, “Absolutely beautiful! SO looking forward to your return to GH!”

Here are a few more responses, among which were many happy thoughts about the impending return of Kirsten to the ABC daytime soap:
