Let’s just say that he might not have considered the optics. There’s a new report that suggests King Charles might have made a huge mistake right after his brother Prince Andrew was arrested last week.

That’s because during the middle of one of the worst scandals that the royal family has seen in years, King Charles and his wife, Queen Camilla, decided to go to London Fashion Week.

During that same time, Prince Andrew was arrested and not because of his connection with the disgraced but also dead financier Jeffrey Epstein, but because of suspicion of misconduct in office.

To make matters worse, Prince Andrew is the first royal in 400 years to be handcuffed. Not only that, but he has been called a disgrace because of his close ties with Jeffrey Epstein and all the alleged rumors suggesting that he had a role in sex trafficking during the early 2000’s.

As our readers can imagine, royalists on both sides of the pond certainly did have a lot to say about the matter.

Some even took to social media to weigh in with, “I think in theory, being seen in public, carrying on as normally as possible is a good response for Charles and Camilla.”

Why Did King Charles Go To London Fashion Week?

“It’s probably the best case scenario – there won’t be a ton of questions for them, it’s a controlled event, and they can count on royal-friendly Anna Wintour and Stella McCartney not to shun them.”

Another critic of the royal family added, “I’m fine with Charles’ appearance at the fashion show – whether or not he’s copying Meghan – this is a good appearance for the monarch, supporting a British-Nigerian designer who also works in textiles.”

And then there was this comment as well: “Seeing King Charles front row at the London Fashion show the day after Andrew was arrested is really bizarre. Anna Wintour and Camilla look like wax figures of themselves at Madame Tussaud’s 40 years ago. Same hairstyles too.”

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the criticism they’ve received, but at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said.

Because if there’s anything that King Charles has proven over the years, and especially with the way that he operates, it’s that it’s best to keep calm and carry on, even if it feels like everything is burning from the outside.
