It really can’t get any worse than this, now can it? That’s what a lot of royal fans and critics on both sides of the pond can’t help but wonder when it comes to Meghan Markle.

That’s because she’s now being delivered with one of the worst insults that can come out of anyone’s mouth: she’s being called ‘the next Fergie.’

That’s mostly because it seems like the Duchess of Sussex is willing to do just about anything to make a quick buck, and it seems like her new venture in Australia proves that.

Per the latest reports, Prince Harry’s wife is charging her fans a pretty penny (and more) for a special retreat that she has scheduled for when she and her husband visit Australia in April.

And for a lot of people, they can’t help but compare Meghan Markle to Sarah Ferguson, who is known for doing just about anything in order to make a quick dollar. In fact, during her prime, Fergie had a lot of sponsorships and contracts with the likes of Weight Watchers and QVC and would also charge her fans for special meet-and-greets.

And now it seems like Meghan Markle is doing the same thing. She is basically charging her fans to spend time with her. While there is no doubt that there are going to be more than a handful of people that are going to sign up for Meghan’s retreat, a lot of royalists also can’t help but give her the side-eye for this idea, too.

Royal Family News: What’s Next For Meghan Markle?

Clearly, Meghan Markle doesn’t see it this same way. She believes that this retreat is a good way to help promote her lifestyle brand, As Ever, while she’s Down Under with her husband.

But that’s the thing: Meghan wants to be the next big infleuncer in the celebrity world. Yet, seeing how she’s failed to tap into the market here in the United States, it looks like she’s desperate to do so in other places in the world.

That’s why some people think that just like Fergie, Meghan will soon be forced to sell her jams on a network that is similar to QVC if things continue this way for her.

So far Meghan Markle herself has not made any comments about the matter, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said. Watch this space as we have a feeling there is so much more to come.
