General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) has had some explosive outbursts since awakening from her car crash. Is this due to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), or possibly another explanation?
Jordan Ashford’s Outbursts
General Hospital spoilers remind fans that Jordan has not been acting like herself. With that said, awakening to learn that she fought for her life after a near-fatal crash, and then seeing the scarring on her face in the aftermath, has turned her life upside down.
Jordan’s first odd encounter occurred when Acting District Attorney Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) came to visit her. While it was understandable that Jordan wasn’t in the mood for visitors, it did seem very unlike Jordan.
Justine understood and left the room, feeling bad she hadn’t called first, but General Hospital fans did raise an eyebrow at Jordan’s demeanor toward her friend.
Fast forward to the Tuesday, April 21 episode, and Jordan continued to reveal another side of herself. She was rather cold to her hospital advocate, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner).
However, the way she lashed out at Isaiah Gannon (Swandi Wilson) when he swung by to offer words of encouragement was shocking.
To boot, Jordan encountered Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) in a hospital hallway, and their confrontation was dramatic – mostly because of Jordan. While Portia did offer to help her “frenemy”, and she had good intentions, Jordan tore into her.
Is This PTSD Or A Brain Injury?
Jordan is clearly upset about how her face looks: the scarring and burns. She got very emotional the first time she saw herself in the mirror and seemed to dread the long road to recovery.
Her behavior could be due to what she’s just gone through, and it makes sense as to why she’d be distant and cold to acquaintances and friends, and lash out at “foes”.
However, what happens when these outbursts start to take place with loved ones? Is this storyline headed in that direction? Could Jordan have an unknown brain injury or tumor, due to the accident?
Fans have seen how brain injuries can affect characters. One only has to point to Jason Quartermaine (Steve Burton) and how he evolved into Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) after his car crash in the 1990s as a fine example of this.
Could Jordan transform into a villain? Could this ruin her relationship with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner)? Only time will tell.
