General Hospital Kirsten Storms Fighting 'Mental Health Issues' – Brandon Barash Granted Restraining OrderAccording to TMZ General Hospital star Kirsten Storms, who plays Maxie Jones on the soap, is dealing with some mental health issues.

So much so, her ex-husband, GH and Days of Our Lives alum, Brandon Barash, filed for and was granted a restraining order from Storms. More on this story, below.

Brandon Barash’s Restraining Order

As per the TMZ report, Barash had fears for their shared 12-year-old daughter, Harper Barash’s, well-being and filed for an emergency restraining order.

A judge recently approved it. Storms has been on Instagram quite a bit lately, claiming that her mobile device, internet router, and iCloud account have been hacked and that her apartment has been broken into.

She recently uploaded a post saying that she received a letter of eviction from the building company.

While Storms moved to Tennessee in 2025, Barash claimed that she hadn’t had a permanent residence from September 2024 to June 2025, and the actress stayed at hotels or with friends.

She frequently changed hotels as she believed people were following her and their daughter to their room. Barash also alleges that Storms’ car was going to be repossessed and that he loaned her $5,000 and has yet to be paid back.

Barash noted that these issues were a cause of concern for Storms to adequately take care of their daughter. He also noted that Storms has been a well-paid soap actress with consistent daytime drama work since the late 1990s.

More On Kirsten Storms Mental Health

Barash goes on to claim that in May 2025, Storms reached out and told him she was experiencing hallucinations and delusions and didn’t believe she should have their child during her parenting time.

The soap actor goes on to say that his new wife helped Storms get into a hospital, where she was put on psychiatric hold. After her release, Barash alleges that Storms acted as if nothing had happened.

In addition, Barash alleged that in November of last year, Storms had told him that individuals were breaking into her apartment, removing things, and then putting them in her car.

He claimed that a friend of Storms told him she thought she was abusing Adderall and possibly other substances, adding the actress has had “repeated episodes of melting down, being triggered, hearing things/voices that weren’t there.”

Barash asked the court to ensure Storms undergoes a mental health evaluation; however, it’s unclear if this has or will happen.

As of this writing, Storms has been allotted supervised visitation with their daughter. This coming week, the judge will review the status of the restraining order.
