The Young And The Restless Preview Week Of May 4: Matt’s Memory Lapse, Cane’s Arrest, Patty Taunts

The Young and the Restless’ promo video for the week of May 4-8 has been released! Fans can expect to see Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) dealing with memory issues, while Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) is arrested.

Plus, Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) does what she does best – taunts her enemies! Find out more about next week’s drama, below.

Cane Ashby Arrested

The Young and the Restless’ preview for the week of May 4-8 starts with a close-up of Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) horrified face.

She is at the bottom of the stairs at the GCAC as she states, “OMG! This can’t be happening!”

As the camera pans over to the door, Cane is shown, in handcuffs, with a GCPD officer hauling him off, as Christine Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) is there, and she has her back to Lily.

Cane tries to reassure Lily that everything will be okay, and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will post bail.

He also promises her he’ll make it to New York; however, Lily’s worried look as the three of them go through the door says it all.

How will Cane’s arrest affect Malcolm Winters’ (Shemar Moore) bone marrow transplant? Will the courts allow him to leave town if he’s been charged with a crime?

Patty Williams Pokes The Bear

As the Young and the Restless promo continues, Patt is shown happily heading to the GCAC bar as she enters the dining hall.

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is there enjoying a drink, and Diane Abbott (Susan Walters) is next to him.

Diane gives a sigh of exasperation, as Patty stirs the pot by happily saying “hi” to both of them as she wonders if this day could get any better!

The Moustache looks as annoyed as Diane does, by Patty’s behavior, so is this all for show? After all, Victor and Patty are working together!

Matt Clarke’s Memory Lapse

The final scene in the preview video has an unknown woman asking Matt if he’s okay. They both appear to be at a restaurant or diner, so she could be his waitress.

How Matt was able to crawl out of the desert to the closest establishment is not known. With that said, will the accident he’s endured cause memory loss?

Matt asks the woman how far away he is from “this place” as he holds a hotel room key in front of her.

How can Matt not know where he is? How can he not remember the name of the hotel he was staying at?

Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) swore up and down that Matt was dead during the Friday, May 1 episode, but the closing clip showed Matt unconscious in the middle of the desert, only to wake up! So, will Matt have amnesia? Where exactly is he now?
