More than one royal commentator vents about Prince George right now. It’s all about his security, and how a major outlet allegedly placed the son of Prince William and Princess Catherine in potential danger. Read on for more details.
Two Angry Commentators
Anything remotely aligned to the royal family is often covered by Neil Sean in his Daily News Headlines. But he wasn’t the only one who questioned ITV’s coverage about young George. Another furious commentator, Dan Wootton, was way less polite than Sean on his Outspoken podcast.
It’s not easy to find the original story that freaked out the royal commentators about Prince George. But it seemed to originate on ITV’s Good Morning Britain. Apparently, discussions about security for the young prince potentially placed an element of danger in his future at school.
Straight Talk
Neil Sean described it as “a stupid error that should never have reached broadcast point.” He went on to say that you should learn and “check yourself to shut up because consequently, you could put somebody’s security at risk.”
He wasn’t alone, because when Dan Wootton scathingly slammed the outlet, he shared a screenshot from X. That was posted by @MeghansMole. Angrily, the admin blasted everyone involved, saying:
Prince Harry & Meghan Markle mouthpiece and Sussex Squad fan, Chris Ship, has placed a target on the backs of The Wales children. Listen in as he discusses Prince George’s security and if he has a bodyguard in class with him. I’m not sure why this information needs to be known to the public but its dangerous and nefarious.

Why So Much Anger?
Per Dan Wootton, the outlet prioritized “sensationalist clicks” over the safety of the Royal Family. Plus, he talked about how, allegedly, the network’s desire for exclusive footage led to cameras being placed in positions that overlook the school’s private boundaries.
Taking it a step deeper, Sean said that discussing the security of Prince George publicly, resulted in an excellent source telling him that Prince William was rather concerned about this “very overtly open discussion.”
Meanwhile, GB News reported that since the ITV discussion, “the Prince and Princess of Wales will not disclose the name of the [new] school until the very last minute.”
Viewers React
Plenty of comments arrived under the X post, and the commentaries by Wootton and Sean. In the Outspoken comments, one viewer opined, “This is absolutely terrible! Things like this should never be discussed ever!”
Here are a few more responses from that discussion:
- Why can’t they be held accountable for revealing security on Prince George?
- Two disgusting individuals bullying a child. It’s not funny… they are a disgrace.
- Say what you want about adults but you don’t ever compromise the safety of a child, royal or not.
- To do this to a child is unbelievable, and nefarious.
