General Hospital Spoilers: Sasha Recast On The Horizon?General Hospital spoilers suggest a Sasha Gilmore recast, last played by Sofia Mattsson, might be on the horizon.

With all the casting changes the ABC soap has undergone lately, it might be time to launch a new chapter for this beloved character.

Sofia Mattsson Is Headed To Salem

General Hospital fans may recall that Days of Our Lives announced that Sofia Mattsson is joining their show in early 2027.

The news hit this past March, and the actress has started filming; however, as the Peacock soap films several months ahead of broadcast, Days viewers will not see the actress on screen until the new year.

The daytime drama has remained hush-hush about who Mattsson will be playing, and who she’ll be interacting with on canvas. This means Mattsson will likely not be entering the land of Port Charles anytime soon.

A Door Closed Means Another Door Opens

While Sasha left the land of Port Charles in July, she may return when General Hospital pays tribute to Robert Scorpio and the actor who played the iconic role, Tristan Rogers. Rogers passed away in August 2025, and the show promised a memorial episode sometime this summer.

Sasha has also been mentioned multiple times in storylines lately, as her brother, Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean), talked about meeting up with her and their mom, Holly Sutton (Emma Samms), during his travels.

Moreover, with Kate Mansi exiting the role of Kristina Corinthos-Davis soon, there will be room in storylines for another character to take center stage.

Willow Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) stalking of Daisy Gilmore (Brenden and Evelyn Beimford) was the reason Sasha left town, so if the truth comes out about this, there would be an opportunity for Michael Corinthos’s (Rory Gibson) baby momma to return.

Sasha’s return would also give Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell) some competition, as Michael and Sasha always had fire-hot chemistry!

A recast always provides a breath of fresh air for a character, so will GH decide to go this route for Sasha?
