Bad Girl Scores Good Role

Pohl played Esme Prince from 2021 to 2024 on General Hospital. The actress hopped on Instagram to announce the news.

Uploading two screenshots of the Deadline article announcing Pohl joining the cast, the IG caption read, “Dog’s outta the bag.”

 She added, “So grateful to work with so many talented and kind individuals.”

Fellow daytime drama alum McKenna Grace (ex-Faith Newman on The Young and Restless) will also be a part of the prequel, playing Daphne Blake.

In addition to fans, Pohl’s General Hospital co-stars hit the comment section to congratulate their former colleague and friend.

Tabyana Ali, who played Pohl’s rival on the soap, Trina Robinson, wrote, “HELLLO!!!!” as well as, “YESSS THAT’S MY GIRL!!!!”

More About The Netflix Series 

Rounding out the cast for Scooby-Doo: Origins, Tanner Hagen will play Shaggy Rogers, Abby Rider Fortson will be Velma Dinkley, and Maxwell Jenkins will play Fred Jones.

Sara Gilbert and Sherilyn Fenn are also a part of the series. Who they are playing, as well as Pohl’s character, is being kept hush-hush for now.

Scooby-Doo: Origins is a live-action prequel story to the classic Scooby-Doo cartoon franchise, which was originally launched in 1969.

The Netflix show will center on the Scooby-Doo gang as they attempt to solve a mystery dealing with a lost Great Dane puppy, who might have seen a supernatural murder.
