General Hospital Spoilers: Dante Orders Joe To Protect Lucas – Sparks Fly?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that as Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) is on the loose, there’s a good chance that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will order Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett) to protect Lucas Jones (Van Hansis). So, will sparks fly between these two? Let’s talk about it!

Lucas Jones’s New Love Interest

General Hospital spoilers imply that all arrows are pointing to the fact that Joe is Lucas’s new love interest.

Joe’s interactions since his debut have been limited to police work, and those at the PCPD – looking at you, Dante – so the fact that he’s been in Lucas’s orbit quite a bit lately seems to suggest that the two could engage in a romance together.

The two had a light clash last week, when Lucas approached Joe about Marco Rios’s (Adrian Anchond) murder and his ‘belief’ that Pascal Leveque (Marc Forget) was behind it.

They seemed to banter back and forth a tad, which is also an indicator that something may blossom between the two men. After all, super couples tend to clash before they fall deeply in love (for the most part).

Danger = Love

Not seeing eye-to-eye is always a classic sign that love could bloom between characters; however, another one is danger. Lucas put a lot on the line to bring Sidwell down, thinking he would end up behind bars.

Now that he’s escaped, thanks to Cassius Faison a.k.a. Fake Nathan West (Ryan Paevey), Lucas will be Sidwell’s main target, along with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Laura Collins (Genie Francis).

Still, Laura and Sonny have the resources to stay safe, but Lucas does not. The mob boss has top-notch security intel, while Laura’s mayoral duties assure her guards who will keep her out of harm’s way.

Lucas refused Sonny’s offering of bodyguards, so this may prompt Dante to take action and assign Joe to him.

The danger of being in close quarters together, 24/7, could mean they connect quickly, even though Lucas is still mourning Marco’s death. What if Joe risks his own life to save Lucas’s? That may have the doctor falling head over heels in love!
