At this point, it looks like the royal reunion is never going to happen. There’s heavy speculation suggesting that King Charles is feeling gutted and that it might have to do with Meghan Markle supposedly stabbing him in the heart again. Keep reading below for all the details you need to know.

That’s because according to The Independent, the Duchess of Sussex is not traveling to the UK with her two children, Archie and Lilibet. This, despite months of planning for the trip.

Instead, Prince Harry will make the trip alone after the couple’s request for police protection in the UK was denied.

Before the news though, there were reports that suggested Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were going to take their two children to meet up with their grandfather, King Charles, as he hasn’t seen them in over four years.

But now that Meghan is staying behind in California with their children, the King of England won’t have the opportunity to see his grandchildren. And for King Charles, this could have very well been the last time that he got to see them, too.

What’s Next For The Sussexes?

Then again, the King of England could have easily made the trip to California while he and Queen Camilla were in Washington, D.C. visiting President Donald Trump back in April.

But for some reason or another, they decided not to, which has a lot of people wondering if the Sussex grandchildren are even a priority in his life at this point.

Either way, a lot of people believe that Meghan could have made the trip to the UK but it’s clear that both she and Prince Harry simply don’t want to take the risk at this point.

Now, whether or not King Charles will ever get to see Archie and Lilibet again no one knows but the Sussexes are prioritizing their family’s safety over everything else.
