Audra Pesters Kyle At Crimson Lights

Audra Charles ( Zuleyka Silver) unexpectedly encounters Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) at Crimson Lights, where she promptly launches into a critical tirade about his decision to purchase his own coffee.

When Kyle questions whether she’s suggesting he’s both foolish and self-indulgent, Audra readily affirms her assessment.

Noticing the broad, contented grin spread across Kyle’s face, Audra becomes curious and inquires about the reason behind his cheerful demeanor.

Kyle responds by explaining that what she’s witnessing is genuine happiness, and he further emphasizes that despite her best efforts, there’s absolutely nothing she could possibly do to diminish or undermine his current state of joy and contentment.

Victoria’s Nightmare

Victoria stirs awake on the couch after a knock interrupts her sleep-she calls out, “You have a key, Kyle!” and rises to answer the door. Standing in the doorway is Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), his expression stern and disapproving.

Victor demands to know why she’s calling for Kyle, then launches into a tirade about his disappointment in her, mentioning that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) shares his shame.

He turns and leaves while Victoria desperately calls after him, pleading with him to stay. But it’s all just a dream; Kyle quietly slips inside and discovers Victoria muttering in her sleep about being able to explain.

Victoria And Kyle Talk

He wakes her gently-Victoria confesses she arrived last night because she needed an escape from home; Kyle expresses his happiness that she feels comfortable in his space.

When Kyle reaches toward her, Victoria suddenly springs up, insisting it was a mistake to come and that she must leave.

Kyle attempts to have a conversation with Victoria, questioning whether she’s upset with him for being present or frustrated that he wasn’t there the previous night.

He expresses a desire to discuss her emotions, but she counters that such discussions aren’t part of their arrangement. Kyle clarifies that they have no arrangement, which means they’re at liberty to communicate openly.

Victoria Worries About Nick

Victoria insists on confidentiality if they’re going to discuss this;  Kyle notes they’ve both demonstrated strong discretion; Victoria expresses concern about Nick, revealing that one of his friends has overdosed twice-with Nick present during the first incident.

She recognizes Nick will attempt to help, but believes it’s futile-what frightens her most is how easily it could have been Nick instead.

Kyle shares that he’s finally moved past his fear of Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman)  relapsing into drug use, explaining that such anxiety diminishes over time.

He assures Victoria that she and Nick will experience the same relief eventually. Victoria adds another worry: Nick’s frustration over his inability to help his friend might push him toward destructive behavior, even without drugs.

Kyle Attempts To Comfort Victoria

Kyle attempts to comfort her by suggesting Nick won’t jeopardize everything, but Victoria remains unconvinced.

Since Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) returned to town, Nick has become volatile, and combined with his addiction history, Victoria feels she no longer recognizes him.

She resents this feeling and longs for Nick as a dependable partner; she believes he prioritized getting high over his relationships.

Kyle counters that Nick didn’t choose addiction, and past struggles don’t guarantee future ones. He suggests she’s projecting too far ahead, reminding her that “one day at a time” applies not only to addicts but also to those who love them.

Victoria Continues To Vent

Victoria continues to express her frustrations, unable to envision any outcome other than catastrophe-she regrets her earlier naivety in believing that his family’s affection could help Nick overcome his struggles.

Kyle acknowledges that addiction is both frightening and misunderstood by many, and  Victoria questions whether Nick has deliberately distanced himself from her because he recognizes her inability to truly comprehend his situation. She fears losing Nick permanently.

Kyle reassures her that this won’t happen, but she counters that he cannot guarantee it. He concedes and apologizes, then emphasizes that Nick is surrounded by people who genuinely care for him and reciprocate that love-which is exactly what he needs.

Chelsea Expresses Regret

At the Genoa City Athletic Club, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) apologizes to Adam for missing the chaos involving Nick and Marie Kirkland (Jade Harlow) the previous evening. Adam reassures her, pleased that she managed to get restful sleep. He says he’s frustrated that Nick refuses to attend meetings or seek counseling, fearing Nick’s confrontation with his former dealer will have serious consequences.

Adam observes that Nick has simply redirected his destructive behavior from Matt toward Joe (Chris Grant Wenchell), suggesting he’s merely pursuing an alternative form of dependency.

Chelsea proposes hiring a sober companion for Nick, though Adam doubts Nick would accept it.

Chelsea Worries About Adam’s Emotions Trying To Rescue Nick

Chelsea worries about Adam’s emotional burden in trying to rescue Nick, and reminds him that he can only do his best;  Adam insists he won’t abandon his efforts.

Rising to leave and check on Nick, Adam asks Chelsea to reach out if she needs him, and he commits to calling her-after a quick kiss, he departs.

Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) runs into Adam at the exit and asks if he’ll accompany Chelsea to the wedding-Adam confirms he’s discussed it with Chelsea and mentions that she’s grateful for Sally’s thoughtfulness.

Sally’s baby starts moving, and she invites Adam to feel the motion; Adam playfully predicts the child will become an athlete. From across the room, Chelsea observes their exchange with visible discomfort, though she maintains her composure.

Adam Tells Sally Her Acceptance Means A Lot To Him

Adam expresses to Sally how much her acceptance of his attendance means to him, then bids her farewell and departs, while Chelsea signals Sally over to join her at the table.

Once seated, Sally mentions that Adam recently informed her about his plans to attend the wedding. Chelsea reveals that she had encouraged Adam to participate and is confident he’ll conduct himself appropriately.

Sally concurs, expressing her desire for all four of them to comfortably occupy the same space. Chelsea is about to share an idea with Sally when Audra unexpectedly arrives.

Audra Joins Chelsea And Sally

Audra takes a seat and inquires about Chelsea’s idea; before Chelsea can elaborate, Sally’s phone buzzes with a call from Pietro (Jai Rodriguez), the wedding coordinator.

Sally apologizes and steps away to answer the call, leaving Audra and Chelsea together. Chelsea starts to present her idea to Audra, but Audra pulls out her phone.

Chelsea assumes she’s being disregarded; however, Audra clarifies that she’s just texted Chelsea. Audra mentions she believed Chelsea already had her contact details, but apparently she was mistaken since Chelsea never mentioned her idea beforehand.

Chelsea And Audra Bicker

Chelsea mentions that if this were about party planning, she would naturally have approached Audra directly, but her suggestion concerns Sally’s wedding attire instead.

Chelsea then asks Audra what her problem is with her. Audra expresses disbelief that Chelsea would even dare ask, saying that if Chelsea hasn’t already figured it out, she shouldn’t be participating in Sally’s wedding or maintaining their friendship.

Chelsea acknowledges her mistakes and inquires whether Audra has ever caused harm to someone. Audra responds that if she had wounded someone the way Chelsea wounded Sally, she would possess enough judgment to stay out of the wedding.

Chelsea And Audra Continue Bickering

Chelsea suggests Audra is motivated by envy; Audra recalls the moment Adam confessed to Sally that he had been intimate with Chelsea and still loved her, and she witnessed Sally’s heartbreak.

Audra expresses frustration that Sally had recently experienced the loss of her daughter, only to then see Adam drift away because of Chelsea. Chelsea expresses her appreciation for Sally’s willingness to forgive her.

Audra clarifies that she isn’t obligated to move forward, and maintaining resentment doesn’t trouble her.

Audra explains that she’ll maintain civility on the surface for Sally’s sake and ensure the wedding photographs turn out beautifully, but she has no compelling reason to release her resentment toward Chelsea.

Sally Comes Back To The Table

Sally arrives back at the table with news about an incoming email from Pietro. Though Sally picks up on something slightly off about the atmosphere, Audra quickly clarifies they were simply discussing wedding details, and Chelsea remains silent rather than contradicting her.

Chelsea then pitches an idea: a personalized embroidered clutch for Sally to carry at the bachelorette party, emblazoned with the word “Bride.”

Audra counters that if embroidery feels too “granny-chic,” they could spell out the message in sparkling crystals instead. Chelsea responds with an awkward smile and nod; Sally, however, is thrilled with both suggestions.

Chelsea Tells Sally Audra Apologized

Chelsea informs Sally that Audra has apologized for her earlier irritability. The two have decided to move forward without dwelling on past tensions.

Audra reinforces this sentiment, suggesting they simply wipe away all the negative moments as if they never occurred.

Completely unaware of the underlying tension between her friends, Sally beams with gratitude as she squeezes both their hands, expressing her appreciation for their help in planning her dream wedding.

Nick Arrives In The Living Room And Asks If Anyone’s There

Nick enters the quiet living room and calls out to see if anyone’s there, and Nikki emerges and expresses how much everyone has been concerned about him.

Already defensive, Nick lashes out, suggesting that Nikki and the family assume the worst-that he’s relapsed. He feels reduced to nothing more than an addict in their eyes.

Nikki reassures him that’s not the case; her worry stems from seeing him in pain and from her deep love for him. She embraces him warmly, expressing her relief and joy at his return.

Nick Apologizes, But Later Becomes Defensive

Nick apologizes for his sharp response, and Nikki accepts it gracefully, understanding his struggle; she then asks where he spent last night, and Nick insists he did nothing wrong.

Victor suddenly reveals himself and presses Nick for clarification about what he means-Nick dodges the question. Adam arrives and is glad to see Nick safe-he asks whether Nick has contacted the police yet.

Victor demands an explanation, and Adam clarifies that he encountered Detective Burrow (Matt Cohen), who mentioned needing to speak with Nick about something.

Nick responds casually that Burrow has his contact information and can reach out whenever needed.

Victor And Nikki Both Interrogate Nick, He Won’t Talk

Victor and Nikki are both desperate to uncover what Nick is concealing from them;  Nick, however, remains guarded and refuses to divulge anything.

When Nikki presses Adam for answers, Adam attempts to extract information from Nick again, but Nick stays silent. A phone call interrupts Victor-it’s the police at the gate-Victor immediately instructs his security team to deny Nick’s presence at the ranch, claiming no one has spotted him all day.

Nick is troubled by Victor’s deception toward law enforcement; Adam clarifies that Victor himself isn’t lying; rather, the guards are delivering the false statement.

Victor asserts that if the police wish to speak with him directly, they’ll need to arrive with a warrant.

Victor Demands The Truth From Nick About The Previous Night

Victor demands to know what Nick did the previous night; Nick reveals he orchestrated a controlled buy-he staged interest in purchasing drugs to set up a meeting with Joe, intending to catch him in the act of dealing.

Nick admits the confrontation became heated, and he displays his bruised knuckles as evidence. Victor inquires about the dealer’s whereabouts.

Nick discloses that he coerced Joe into confessing that he supplied the drugs responsible for Marie’s fatal overdose; however, Joe managed to escape before police arrived on the scene.

Wanting to avoid being seen with law enforcement, Nick also departed the area.

Adam Asked If Nick Reached Burrow

Adam inquires whether Nick managed to reach out to Burrow, and Nick confirms he hasn’t; Nick believes the police are simply conducting a routine follow-up visit.

Victor expresses shock that Nick allowed Joe to depart, but Nick explains he was powerless to prevent his exit. Victor senses there’s something deeper happening here-Nick insists this is merely a temporary setback; his involvement isn’t finished.

He retrieves his phone and dials Detective Burrow to set up a meeting, but at Crimson Lights, Nick shows up and spots Detective Burrow already seated at a table.

Nick kicks things off with “What the hell happened?”-Detective Burrow shares Nick’s frustration and grumbles about arriving at their designated meeting spot only to discover nobody waiting.

Nick Tells Burrow About His Encounter With Joe

Nick recounts his encounter with Joe but admits he couldn’t detain him long enough, despite attempting “very politely.”- Burrow observes Nick’s swollen knuckles and responds, “I bet.“

Nick wants Burrow to apprehend Joe and cross-reference his inventory against Marie’s hospital records. Burrow mentions he’s reviewed Marie’s file and discovered that Nick was in rehab alongside her when her spouse passed away.

Nick argues that’s irrelevant to the current situation, and Burrow cautions Nick against taking action independently. Nick protests that Joe managed to escape because Burrow failed to arrive promptly.

Burrow Leaves, Nick Pushes Back

Burrow abruptly stands and announces his departure, stating he’ll reach out to Nick if he needs anything else; Nick counters that Burrow has everything required and the ball is now in his court.

Burrow thanks Nick for his assistance and leaves; alone, Nick reflects on punching Joe. Nikki expresses annoyance that Nick wouldn’t simply meet the detective at their ranch.

Adam suggests Nick feels driven to handle matters himself. Both Nikki and Victor grow suspicious Nick is hiding something- Victor poses a troubling question: did Nick personally “deal with” the dealer?
