Robert Kelker-Kelly’s Passing

As per the TMZ report, the actor passed away on Saturday, October 3. The cause of his death is not known as of this writing.

Kelker-Kelly entered the world of soaps in 1987, debuting as Sam Fowler on Another World. The actor played the role for three years and was pivotal in several storylines until his departure in 1990.

The Actor’s Legacy

In 1992, Kelker-Kelly was chosen to step into the shoes of Bo Brady, as a recast, filling in for fan favorite Peter Reckell. Kelker-Kelly quickly won the hearts of Days viewers and had chemistry with Bo’s romantic interests at the time, Hope Williams Brady (Kristian Alfonso) and Billie Reed (Lisa Rinna).

In fact, the actor made headlines earlier in 2026 when Rinna talked about their tumultuous working relationship in her memoir. As per Rinna, Kelker-Kelly was manipulative and verbally abusive during their time together on Days.

She also noted that Kelker-Kelly’s abrupt exit from the daytime drama triggered the network (NBC) to provide both Alfonso and her with security for a number of weeks. Kelker-Kelly never responded publicly to the actress’ claims.

In addition to his above work, the actor returned to Another World, before it was canceled in 1999, but this time he was playing a new character, Dr. Shane Roberts. He exited this part in 1998.

Kelker-Kelly was also on General Hospital, playing Stavros Cassadine, with his original run taking place in 2001. He also appeared on the show in 2002, 2003, 2013, and 2014.
