General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny & Ric’s Secret Surveillance – Phoebe’s Kidnapping Plot Exposed?

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Ric Lansing’s (Rick Hearst) surveillance of Hudson Parker (Troy Lennon Appel) might have an unexpected outcome.

It’s very possible that if Hudson is either Phoebe Chase’s (Luna and Lucia Creighton) birth father or works for or knows him, they may save her from a kidnapping!

Key Takeaways

• Sonny and Ric secretly investigate Hudson.
• Phoebe’s birth father remains a mystery.
• Ric plants a bug in Hudson’s briefcase.
• Hudson could lead them to a dangerous suspect.
• Sonny and Ric may prevent Phoebe’s kidnapping.

Is Hudson Phoebe’s Father Or Working For Him?

It’s not clear if Hudson is Phoebe’s birth father or if the mysterious person he’s communicating with is.

General Hospital fans will remember that the birth father had a record with the PCPD.

When Ethan Lovett (then Nathan Dean) got DNA from an old case file, he knew exactly whose to look for. Unless they rewrite history, Hudson has never been there before.

But Hudson is clearly connected to someone Ethan has a fraught past with. Otherwise, they’d have never gotten into that ugly fight overseas.

As previously reported, Ethan’s connection to Hudson could reveal some dangerous secrets.

Ethan knows who the birth father is and didn’t want Phoebe anywhere near him, knowing how dangerous he is!

It’s highly possible that Phoebe’s father is Jerry Jacks (most recently Sebastian Roché), or at the very least, possibly her grandfather. Ethan knew a grandfather’s DNA would match!

Ric Put A Bug In Hudson’s Briefcase

Ric and Sonny decided on a deep dive into Hudson since they couldn’t investigate Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), and Sonny didn’t want to hurt his former stepdaughter.

There seems to be something off about the company because, for one thing, Sonny knew Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) back in the day, and he wouldn’t want those piers!

He wouldn’t want Josslyn to own them either because they’re so coveted by organized crime. Even though Sonny’s out, he knows how to deal with mobsters.

So Ric tracked Hudson to Volonino’s, where he put a bug in his briefcase while Hudson was showering, and told him his membership was revoked!

The October 15 recap revealed how Sonny and Ric planned to pressure Hudson without directly targeting Josslyn.

Hudson Will Be Followed Everywhere He Goes

Not only is Hudson’s briefcase bugged, but most likely, he’ll be followed everywhere he goes, including to the Quartermaine mansion.

That’s where Phoebe, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) live, although Brook Lynn and Chase live in different wings now.

Chase’s cop instincts won’t pick up on anything wrong. He’s too obsessed with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), so why would he be suspicious of Hudson?

And as Hudson is being followed, whether it’s by Ric or Sonny himself, or perhaps an old friend like Brick (Stephen A. Smith), if he’s observed trying to snatch the baby, it’s game over, full stop!

As Soap Opera Spy previously reported, Hudson’s suspicious interest in Brook Lynn and Phoebe has already raised concerns.

And perhaps they’ll find out even more untoward things that Hudson or his mysterious contact have done to JJE and possibly Jax himself.

Annemarie’s Take

I think Sonny and Ric may be getting into something much bigger than a fight over the piers!

Hudson has been far too interested in Phoebe for my liking, and Chase seems too distracted by Willow to notice what’s happening around him.

Wouldn’t it be something if Sonny and Ric ended up saving Phoebe while trying to protect Josslyn?
