General Hospital spoilers and updates tease there could have been terror on the high seas, and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (formerly Ingo Rademacher) may be dead, triggering a takeover of Jasper Jacks Enterprises (JJE)!

Someone else in the Jacks family may have been the killer, making Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) the next target!

No One Has Been Able To Contact Or Has Heard From Jax In Several Months

No one has been able to contact Jax or has heard from him in several months, not even Hudson Parker (Troy Lennon Appel), although Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) claimed she talked to Jax several months ago.

She said it was his idea to bring Josslyn in to run Jasper Jacks Enterprises and get her out of the WSB.

However, it’s questionable whether Carly was really talking to Jax.

Josslyn has no clue how to run a business. When she started college, she was studying pre-med and environmental sciences, never taking any business courses.

Not everything is hereditary, although Josslyn did grow up watching her mother run several businesses, hotels, and restaurants.

But that’s nothing like a conglomerate such as JJE and all its different divisions.

Jax has always been adventurous, but would he really have made that decision, let alone gone on a long trip without training her?

As General Hospital spoilers previously explored, Hudson’s unusual interest in JJE has raised suspicions.

Could someone have been impersonating Jax or issuing instructions without his knowledge?

Fall previews for the ABC soap forecast a bloody conflict with Josslyn as a target, and she may not be the only one with a rightful claim to JJE.

Or, at least, someone else may believe he has a claim.

Every indication is that Hudson, whom Josslyn has been getting far too friendly with and trusting too much lately, is up to his neck in it with this other potential JJE claimant!

Josslyn even admitted to Hudson recently that she’s a WSB agent “on leave” from the spy agency, although running JJE is also her assignment for now.

Josslyn practically blowing her own cover is not something she should have done.

Even if her dad presumably knows she’s with the WSB, that doesn’t mean she should reveal it to lower-level employees!

As Soap Opera Spy previously questioned, Josslyn’s WSB assignment at JJE could expose a dangerous secret involving her father.

If Hudson is secretly answering to someone else, Josslyn may have given him exactly the information he needs to set a trap.

Who’s Targeting Josslyn?

Then we come to the question: Who’s targeting Josslyn, and who could have murdered her father to take over JJE?

And there’s another question: Is Hudson in on it?

Did Hudson come to Port Charles simply to put Josslyn in the top spot because it’s a trap, waiting for the other claimant to arrive in town?

There have been plenty of hints in recent General Hospital episodes that the new guy in town, Jude (Wil Traval), may be a Jacks or at least closely connected to the family.

He’s possibly the wealthy mystery buyer who paid cash and outbid Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) for Spoon Island and Wyndemere Castle, which Jerry Jacks (Sebastian Roché) once used as his base when he was in Port Charles.

In fact, General Hospital spoilers have already raised the possibility that Jude is an unknown member of the Jacks family.

While Jerry wouldn’t necessarily want to hurt Josslyn, Jude might be another story.

Could Jude be Jerry’s son and have murdered his own uncle?

If so, where’s Jerry, and does he know what his possible son is up to?

Annemarie’s Take

I think there’s something seriously suspicious about Jax disappearing for months while Hudson suddenly becomes so important at JJE!

And I don’t believe Josslyn should be trusting Hudson as much as she does.

She’s supposed to be a trained WSB agent, yet she’s revealing information about her assignment to a man whose motives remain questionable.

As for Jude, I’m not convinced he’s Jerry Jacks himself. The age difference makes that theory difficult to believe, although this is a soap opera!

I’d find it much more interesting if Jude turned out to be Jerry’s son or another previously unknown Jacks relative.

That could explain why he has arrived in Port Charles just as someone appears to be making moves against JJE.

But I really hope Jax hasn’t been murdered. Bringing him back into the story, even through a recast, could create some terrific drama.
