It’s a tantalizing deal, considering Sonny had JJE investigated, and the company hasn’t been doing so well financially.

He had Brick (Stephen A. Smith) look into the books.

Sonny’s got the money to offer Hudson twice the amount JJE paid for the piers to get them back.

The offer is the bait to trap Hudson and whoever he really works for.

Even though Sonny and Jasper Jacks (formerly Ingo Rademacher) were rivals and really didn’t like each other, Sonny knows Jax wouldn’t have handed the company over to Josslyn so easily.

Josslyn has had no formal schooling or training in running a business, especially not a worldwide conglomerate like Jasper Jacks Enterprises has become.

Her only qualification is having the last name Jacks, and Sonny knows there’s something fishy.

Ric wholeheartedly agrees that there’s something seriously wrong with this whole picture!

As previous General Hospital spoilers explored Hudson’s mysterious investment in JJE, there may be more to his position at the company than meets the eye.

Hudson is quite aware of Sonny’s relationship with Josslyn as her former stepfather and knows she’s got a vendetta.

He’s also not sure how the company could even use those piers!

If Hudson accepts Sonny’s offer without Josslyn’s approval, it could expose just how much authority he really has at JJE.

And if someone else is secretly calling the shots, Sonny may finally get the answers he’s looking for.

Sonny and Ric have no idea about the WSB investigation or that running JJE is part of Josslyn’s mission, although she’s not exactly sure of all the details herself.

It’s plain that she’s not giving up her vendetta or the piers.

And it’s not clear exactly what the WSB wants her to do there.

Sonny can only hope that offering Hudson twice the money to buy back the piers will convince him it’s a good business move.

He also needs Hudson to act independently of Josslyn and whoever he’s really working for.

As Soap Opera Spy previously reported, Josslyn’s determination to take Sonny down has already created tension between her and Hudson.

However, so far, they haven’t gotten a name for his mysterious contact.

They want to trap Hudson and the person he’s communicating with using the money as bait.

And perhaps they can get Josslyn out of the situation as well.

I think Sonny is being pretty clever here.

Instead of going after Josslyn directly, he’s trying to get Hudson to make a deal behind her back.

And offering twice what JJE paid for the piers is certainly going to get someone’s attention!

What interests me most is Hudson’s mysterious contact. We know there’s someone else involved, but Sonny and Ric still don’t know who it is.

I also think Josslyn is playing a dangerous game by mixing her personal vendetta against Sonny with her WSB assignment.

If Sonny uncovers the truth about JJE, she could end up in serious trouble with her own bosses.

But I wouldn’t underestimate Hudson, either. He might be more dangerous than Sonny realizes.
