Thomas Markle Accuses Daughter, Meghan Markle Of Being A ‘Whiny’ Little ….

Apparently, Meghan Markle’s father continues to be unhappy with his daughter’s behavior and lifestyle. Now, while there are many who may accuse Mr. Markle of simply being jealous of Meghan’s fame and fortune, others might agree that he’s got a point. Thomas Markle, a 76-year-old former lighting director for television, has come out publicly against the publication of “Finding Freedom,” an upcoming biography of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, written by Carolyn Durrand and Omid Scobie and published by Harper Collins.

Finding Freedom apparently criticizes Thomas Markle heavily with intimate details that only Meghan Markle would actually know. This may put the lie then, to the claim by Prince Harry and Meghan that they never gave interviews to the authors of the book. Indeed, representatives for Prince Harry and Meghan stated publicly that, “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not interviewed and did not contribute to ‘Finding Freedom. This book is based on the authors’ own experiences as members of the royal press corps and their own independent reporting.”

Yet, the details revealed in the book suggest otherwise and may also be the reason that Thomas Markle chose to speak out, ostensibly to defend himself against his overly privileged daughter’s claims.

In his criticism, Thomas Markle said, “I love my daughter but I really don’t appreciate what she’s become right now.” Thomas Markle’s comments were delivered in an interview with Britain’s “The Sun.” Mr. Markle continued, noting that, “This is the worst time in the world for them (Prince Harry and Meghan Markle) to be whining and complaining about anything because people everywhere are suffering due to the coronavirus pandemic.”

In light of the strained relationship Meghan Markle’s had with her father over the past few years, it’s not likely that his latest comments and interview with “The Sun” will earn him a place at her table anytime soon. (Not that Thomas Markle or the public feels that’s any great loss.)

From losing his place at Meghan’s wedding, walking her down the aisle, etc. due to a heart attack, to being what Meghan and the British Royal Family consider a loudmouth because of his frequent interviews with the paparazzi, Thomas Markle has become a polarizing figure in the drama Meghan Markle’s life is playing out. Unfortunately, according to insiders, Thomas Markle hasn’t seen or heard from Meghan since her marriage to Prince Harry.

Meghan and Harry moved from the U.K. this past year. First, the Duke and Duchess moved to Vancouver Island in Canada, and then from there to the palatial estate of movie mogul, Tyler Perry in Los Angeles. It’s believed that Thomas Markle has reached out to Meghan at her home in California, but insiders say his letters have remained unopened. In part, it’s rumored that this is because Meghan believes her father is simply trying to squeeze her and Prince Harry for cash.

Whether this is true or not remains an open question, but one thing is sure … most who hear the story feel that the story of Meghan Markle and her father is a sad one.
