Young and the Restless Spoilers for Wednesday, December 19: Nikki Barely Clings To Life – Victor Still Missing – Reed And Charlie Vow Secrecy

The Young and the Restless (Y&R)  Wednesday Dec. 19 episode begins with Kyle (Michael Mealor) learning from Jack (Peter Bergman) that Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) was hit by a car after the Jabot Holiday Party and the doctors are not optimistic; no one knows who hit her.

Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) arrives at the Ashby home, where Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) is up, but Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) isn’t going to school feeling bummed out about Shauna (Camryn Hamm) dumping him. Mattie learns they went to a party and Charlie is hung over but Reed says the party sucked, saying she should be glad she wasn’t there.

Devon (Bryton James) and Ana (Loren Lott) prepare for a day full of meetings, when Fen (Zach Tinker) arrives to take their orders. He attempts to talk to Devon, but is dismissed when he has to talk to another club manager; Ana tells him not to bring up his demo who won’t have time to listen to it.

At the hospital, Nick (Joshua Morrow) gives updates on the phone when Victoria (Amelia Heinle) arrives; no one knows where Victor (Eric Braeden) is, only hoping that Michael (Christian LeBlanc) will know where he is and hopefully Victor will get back before it is too late.

Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) joins Sharon (Sharon Case) at Crimson, learning she is taking a personal day to spend it with Faith. Rey informs her that Nikki is in ICU and Victor still hasn’t shown up. Rey says Victor has to decide what is more important, his freedom or his wife.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Reed And Charlie Cover Up

Reed and Charlie debate over what they hit; one insisting it was a tree branch or a deer, while the other insists it was Nikki. Charlie assures Reed that Nikki is getting the best care possible with Nate (Brooks Darnell) being her doctor but they need to get the car fixed. They leave to go get the money and will figure out their story along the way.

Devon and Ana continue to work on their schedules, when Fen tries to talk about his demo. Devon cuts him off, saying he was hired to wait tables and not pitch him his work. Devon reminds him if he bothers him or his customers like this he will end up losing this job as well and leaves with his sister.

Nate updates Victoria and Nick that Nikki is remaining in the same condition, but wants to run more tests. He’ll give them more information once he has the results on from the MRI. Both had no hint she was drinking, feeling it all started because of Rey’s investigation as Nick feels this is Victor playing his little games, away while she needs him the most. Victoria hides her face when Nick says that its like Rey believes their mom killed JT (Thad Luckinbill).

Sharon visits Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), who reveals that Nikki made it through the night, but it isn’t looking good. Sharon says she knows about the clothes found in Nikki’s bed and the shirt in the stables, but Phyllis says no one knew Nikki was going to be at the Jabot party. Sharon is shocked to learn that Nikki was extremely drunk at the party and feels Nick is probably devastated.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nick Holds Vigil, Jack Confesses

Back at Memorial, Nick continues to fight with the GCPD when Jack returns, who tells him that he knew Nikki has a sip of alcohol the previous week and went to an AA meeting with her. None of them blame each other, feeling alcoholics are great at hiding their drinking. Jack honestly believes Nikki has no clue where Victor is and if he could, he would be there. Nick and Jack both realize Victor could be in serious trouble.

Kyle purposely taunts Fen at work, dropping his cutlery at the GCAC. Before they can get into a real argument, Ana returns and tells Fen that he caught Devon in a really bad mood and she told him not to anger Devon again and he won’t get fired. Fen tells her to do him a favor and get her brother to listen to his demo; Kyle laughs, but says Fen is pretty good. Ana says Devon won’t be impressed with his amateur effort. After Fen blows her off, but she says they could use the recording studio to make a tight demo where he sings and she produces. She admits he would be her first, but he turns her down saying he doesn’t need luck, only his talent. Kyle wants to know how his smart parents end up with an epically stupid son like him.

Jack and Victoria both encourage Nick to get some fresh air. As soon as he leaves, Victoria tells Jack all she wants is to hold her mom, who is her best friend. He holds her as she tells him it has been a rough year; even when she told Nikki she didn’t need her. Jack reminds her that Nikki knows that and is fighting to get back to all of them. Victoria worries that she can’t.

Michael arrives as Nick brings him up to speed on what is happening. He desperately needs to speak to his dad, but Michael admits he hasn’t spoken to Victor in weeks. Sharon and Phyllis arrive to be with Nick; both surprised to see each other there. Sharon says she is going to find out who is on the case and what progress is made. Nick returns to the room to find out what Nate has to say. Nikki is suffering from a brain contusion; no treatment but could resolve on its own.

Rey arrives and Nick shouts at him, telling him to take his sympathy and beat it. He is there to investigate what happened to Nikki as Nick says he will do everything he can to get him off this case; screaming that he has done nothing but harass his mother about Victor, nothing about the fire at his ranch and strolls in 12 hours after his mother was hit. Rey says at least he is there, unlike Victor. Nick charges at him as both Rey and Sharon plead with him to let this go for Nikki’s sake.

Kyle gets his bill, giving Fen a dollar as a tip. Kyle tells Fen that people like Ana are going to move fast and go up quickly, but he blew his chance with her. Meanwhile, Reed and Charlie return home and need to get their story straight before he calls the hospital. Reed is stressed that his grandmother could die and how is he supposed to pretend it isn’t his fault. He tells Charlie he can’t keep the secret and wants to confess what he has done. Charlie reminds him that no one will believe this, just like his mother wanted to do the right thing and is now in prison for an accident. Mattie walks in, demanding to know what is going on.

Sharon comforts Victoria when Phyllis returns, saying she has calmed down Nick and he is now eating. Sharon defends Rey for being a good cop; but Phyllis says this isn’t a good thing if this is all tied to JT’s things as Victoria is shocked that all this might be connected; wondering if Rey is right.

Kyle blows up palm trees and has sand all about, saying its a surprise for Lola (Sasha Calle), as she misses Miami. There is no time for her to go to Florida, he feels he can bring the beach to her. Jack smiles, realizing how much Lola means to him. Jack talks about his romantic dinner with Kerry (Alice Johnson) and Kyle sees that his dad likes her, wondering what his next move will be with her.

In the hospital hallway, Rey tells Nick that they need to talk. Meanwhile, Fen comes to the penthouse to see Ana, saying he is an idiot and should have listened to her. She says she lived and breathed music, not just Devon’s little sister. She plans on making a name in the business for herself and he believes her. He wants to work with her, she says she has everything covered financially and all he has to do is give the performance of his life.

Kyle and Jack continue to talk about the women in their lives. Jack does have his next move planned out with Kerry, feeling she is going to love it. Mattie is surprised the guys are fighting over a call in a football game. She feels they could spend their time better by filling out college applications.

Charlie says they will both be in trouble if they tell the truth. Charlie was drinking, and Reed was driving with a suspended license, plus he has a DUI. They are going to come down hard on them without changing a thing for Nikki. Reed says he will keep his mouth shut.

Victoria feels this all makes sense as Nikki felt the clothes laid on her bed was a warning. She feels this might be their end game and maybe her mom isn’t the only one they are after. She wants to know that whoever did this, might be planning on taking them all out, one by one. Rey apologizes to Nick, learning about Nikki’s state before and after the accident. Rey says they need to find this dirtbag who did this to Nikki and when Nick does, he is going to pay. Reed stands inside Crimson, leaning on the coffee counter.
