Netflix Film About Princess Diana’s Struggles With Bulimia Could Reignite Feud Between Prince William & Prince Harry

Most fans of the British Royal Family are familiar with the fact that multiple reports came out detailing the rift that developed between Prince Harry and his elder brother, Prince William. Once upon a time, Prince Harry and Prince William were supposedly inseparable and enjoyed a great friendship. However, all of that changed when a woman came between Harry and William.

That woman, of course, was American actress, Meghan Markle. It’s not that the brothers fought over Meghan’s affections. Prince William was already happily married to Kate Middleton. It was the fact that Prince William felt Prince Harry was moving too fast in his courtship of Meghan and said so.

The specific thing that utterly enraged Prince Harry and that sparked a bitter feud between him and Prince William was when the latter said, “Don’t feel you need to rush this. Take as much time as you need to get to know this girl.” (Hardly something most people would freak out over, but Prince Harry apparently is a hothead to at least some degree.)

It’s Prince William’s Turn To Be Angry

Of course, since “Megxit,” insiders have suggested that Prince William has worked hard to make peace with his younger brother. Reports indicate that Prince William and Harry engage in periodic Zoom calls although it’s said that their conversations are stilted and awkward. One hopes that this situation resolves itself and that Prince William and Prince Harry will one day find themselves enjoying the type of friendship they had as children.

That may be harder to achieve than some might think, however, if reports that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle plan to produce a film for Netflix, the American media giant, concerning Harry and Prince William’s mother, Princess Diana.

Already Netflix is home to a series that portrays Princess Diana as someone suffering from Bulimia, an eating disorder. One source has suggested that “William and other senior royals are incredibly uncomfortable about this drama and livid Harry is now in partnership with the company that’s airing it.”

As that insider noted, “It’s the latest in a long line of flashpoints between the brothers, but there are few more sensitive subjects than the plight of their mother.”

Harry Doesn’t Have Anything To Do With “The Crown”

Of course, Prince Harry doesn’t actually have anything to do with Netflix’s production of “The Crown.” However, that’s not the point for Prince William. The issue, apparently, is the fact that Prince Harry has taken money from a media company that is profiting off a negative portrayal of William and Harry’s mother. That doesn’t sit well with Prince William.

That may particularly be true since Prince Harry’s Netflix deal provided he and Meghan Markle with an enormous windfall in cash. Prince William’s net worth isn’t anywhere near that of Prince Harry’s now. In fact, Prince William’s net worth is estimated to be between $30 – $40 Million according to Forbes.com, while Prince Harry’s was about $25 Million before the Netflix deal. Following it, Prince Harry could rise to $225 Million if he is able to earn bonuses.
