NBC Days of Our Lives veteran John Aniston (Victor Kiriakis) is in the high-risk age group and with COVID-19 still an issue, that makes him more susceptible to the illness, as well as complications. There is a report, which can’t be verified, that Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston managed to get her father to film scenes at home to protect his health.
DOOL Actors and High-Risk Groups
There are certain people who are at an increased risk of getting COVID-19. However, that isn’t the only concern for certain groups of people. There is also the concern that they could have complications due to the illness. One of these groups include older Americans and some soap actors fall under this category. One of them is John Aniston.
Jennifer Aniston Worried About Father
According to a report from The Scottish Sun, actress Jennifer Aniston is concerned about her father. She fears that he will get COVID-19 if he goes to the DOOL set, especially with someone recently testing positive. An anonymous source allegedly told the publication that Jennifer put her foot down and took action.
Days of Our Lives Execs Make Agreement
The headline of the article and the actual content say two different things. This is why this is being categorized as a rumor (that and the source is anonymous and cannot be verified). The headline states that Jennifer convinced soap execs to let her father film at home. However, the actual article content says she convinced John to talk to producers about it.
“She insisted that, at his age, he was putting himself at risk by going on set in Burbank. Jen persuaded him to talk to producers about taping his scenes at home. The execs have agreed.”
John Aniston Filming Scenes at Home?
Now, there is a chance that the Days of Our Lives actor is really filming scenes at home. Perhaps both Jennifer and John spoke to the people in charge. However, we can’t confirm that at this time. The anonymous source stated,
“They’re having his scene partners chauffeured thee and, of course, tested for COVID prior to arrival.”
Who’s Paying for This? Not Days of Our Lives!
One thing that people need to remember is that Days of Our Lives has a bare-bones budget, which was cut even further during the last renewal negotiation. So, if actors are being chauffeured, you can guarantee that the soap isn’t paying for it. They already had to cut practically half the cast and let go of fan-favorite veterans.
Plus, they wouldn’t just have to chauffeur actors, but crew members. Cameras would have to be set up, microphones tested, lightning adjusted just right, and what about the sets? We always see Victor in his chair in the Kiriakis living room. Well, none of that was addressed, so take the report with a grain of salt.
In any case, John and other older actors are not filming a lot of scenes right now. We’ve barely seen Victor, Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers), Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes), or Doug Williams (Bill Hayes). If we get any further information on this, we will let you know.

I think it is, hey he is a great risk for Covid.
They should do everything to keep the older soap stars safe. I think this was a good idea to protect Victor, MAGGIE, Julie , and Doug. Also on other soaps too.
Yes
SOME ONE HAS TO PUT A MASK ON JENNIFRE TO MAKE HER SHUT UP.
Good idea. He has given his life to the show they can show him respect and courtesy.
I DON'T LIKE JENNIFRE TELLING HER DAD WHAT TO DO. I DO UNDERSTAND SAFTY OF COVID.
