The Young and the Restless spoilers document that in Genoa City, New York Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) chooses to see Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) as a villain. No matter the circumstance, or whatever the evidence, Adam is always wrong in Billy’s mind.
The Young and The Restless Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) was glowing (a partial reference to Gloria Simmons, as played by Judith Chapman, the recent return to Y&R). Hendrickson’s character was thrilled to hear that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) was finished with Chadam. Adam’s later appearance in Chancellor Park, where the ladies were talking, enabled Chloe to once again dress down her longtime enemy.
The Young And The Restless Spoiler Insights
This question can continue to be asked, no matter what response it brings, even including silence. That’s because the pieces of Delia Abbott’s (Sophie Pollono) costume, that Adam (as then played by Michael Muhney) found in his wheel well, have always represented circumstantial evidence.
No one actually knows if he hit Delia on that dark road after Billy (as then played by Billy Miller) left her and Dash (Delia’s dog) in his vehicle for a matter of minutes. Even Adam, in versions then and since, believes he’s guilty. A revisit of that intentionally open-ended scene should be addressed, with a final conclusion being written.
Billy Abbott Is Projecting
Billy thinks lowly of himself and has for many years. That’s an often covered reason why he lashes out at Adam. Doing so makes Billy feel as though there is at least one other person who’s worse than himself.
Broken egos, or ones that never developed, perceive elements of themselves in others. Billy clearly is rubbed wrongly by any dastardly part of Adam, part of which is a correct assessment.
Until Billy finds a way to stop projecting his own insecurities onto Adam he’ll never be able to find a sense of peace. Adam recognizes Billy’s mental default and calls him out rather often, but to no avail.
Chloe Mitchell Should Live In The Present
It’s fair for Chloe to connect Adam to the darkest moment in her life. It’s also reasonable for her to be relieved that Chelsea is stepping away from Adam because he’s caused her friend plenty of real pain and heartbreak through the years.
But Chloe just had her second child, Miles Mitchell Fisher (no child actor yet known to be cast). She and Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) need to focus on their newborn and their daughter, Bella Mitchell (Martie Blair). Obsessing about Adam isn’t good for the Khloe family, whether Chloe and Kevin are right, or wrong about the character that Grossman now portrays.
