Claire confides in Charlie that she is afraid of becoming a possessive person like she used to be. Charlie and Claire decide to give a relationship a try, and they seal it with a kiss.

Days of Our Lives John Black (Drake Hogestyn) is joined by Belle at the police station. John tells Belle he deserves to be prosecuted. Belle tells him that Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) isn’t dead. Belle thinks John’s issues can keep him from being prosecuted. John would not be facing charges if it wasn’t for Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) getting her out of jail. Marlena knows Sami helped to get Jan out. Belle cannot get John out on bail yet because the courts are closed. John worries about being locked up for the rest of his life. John is concerned about Claire, Marlena tells him that Charlie is with her. John hopes that Charlie is the bright spot for Claire that she has been for him.

Days Of Our Lives Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) tells Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) what happened in Mexico. Rafe tells Roman he and Gabi Dimera (Camila Banus) wanted to come home to Salem. Roman tells Rafe that Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) left Salem, and they don’t know when she will be back. Rafe can’t believe that Hope left town. Roman explains that Hope left the day of Caira Weston’s (Victoria Konefal) funeral. Rafe blames himself for leaving Hope to deal with this alone. Roman tries to reassure Rafe that he couldn’t have made a difference in Hope’s decision to leave town. Roman thinks Rafe should try to find Hope.

Days of Our Lives Gabi Dimera (Camila Banus) finds Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) and Kate Dimera (Lauren Koslow). Jake is stunned when Gabi asks what the hell is going on. Jake wonders why Gabi is home and why it matters who he sleeps with. Gabi tells Jake that she left to protect herself and her child as well as him. Gabi had to lie to Jake so he didn’t try to look for her. Gabi later meets with Rafe after Jake admits to having feelings for Kate. Gabi is going to Arizona to be with her daughter but Salem hasn’t seen the last of her.

Days of Our Lives Abe Carver (James Reynolds) tells Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) he needs to talk to the person in charge but needs to know who that is. Shawn thinks that Abe is upset that he has taken over the office. Abe offers Shawn the commissioner’s job since both Hope and Rafe are gone. Shawn is flattered, but he and Belle have to return home at some point. Belle later arrives and asks if Abe can help with John’s situation. Abe says his hands are tied. Belle is upset that she and Shawn didn’t get married.
