Beyond The Gates – The Synopsis Of The Soap & Cast
As per BTG press release, the new soap will center on the Duprees, a wealthy family that resides in a Maryland suburb, just outside of Washington, DC.
According to the media release, fans will find a “… posh gated community with winding tree-lined streets and luxurious mansions to call home. At the center of this community are the Duprees, a powerful and prestigious multi-generational family that is the very definition of Black royalty.”
Of course, the Duprees, their enemies and loved ones alike, are filled with scandals and secrets.
There are also characters who are desperate to become part of the exclusive and rich “gates” community, so fans should watch out for plenty of typical soapy scheming from some of these larger-than-life personalities.
Core members of the Dupree family include Anita (Tamara Tunie), Vernon (Clifton Davis), Nicole (Daphnee Duplaix), and Dani (Karla Mosley).
Meanwhile, Naomi Hamilton (Arielle Prepetit) and Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRose Mantilla) are Nicole’s daughters, and Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) is her ex-husband.
The rest of the soap’s characters and cast include: Tom Navarro (Alex Alegria), Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli), Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon), Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman), Derek Baldwin (Ben Gavin), Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings), Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges), Ashley Morgan(Jen Jacob), Ted Richardson (Maurice Johnson), Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant), Smitty Smith(Mike Manning), Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle), and Kat Richardson (Colby Muhammad).
