Beyond The Gates Gains Momentum In Ratings, Including Key DemographicsBeyond the Gates spoilers indicate it’s not easy being the new kid on the daytime drama block, but the CBS soap continues to gain momentum.

The television ratings were recently released by Soap Opera Network for the week of January 12-16, and as it stands, BTG has hit some interesting milestones. Read more below.

The Little Engine That Could

For the week of January 12-16, Beyond the Gates received its four largest audience since debuting in February 2025, with 1.651 million total viewers/1.1 rating – an increase of 188,000 fans tuning in week to week.

It also saw an improvement in both key advertising demographics, which was level with General Hospital when it came to women 25-54.

During the week of January 12, viewers saw Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) find out she tested positive for the BRCA gene, while Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman) put Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) in his place.

How The Other CBS Soaps Fared

BTG’s sister shows faired well in the ratings, as well that week. The Young and the Restless, at 2.994 million total viewers/1.9 rating, added 129,000 total viewers for the week of January 12-16, remaining at the number one spot for soaps.

Storylines presented during that week included Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) targeting Newman Enterprises, while Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) was accused of lying by his gal pal, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).

Beyond the Gates’ fellow CBS soaper, The Bold and the Beautiful, had 2.623 million total viewers/1.7 rating and saw an increase of 139,000 total viewers.

However, it decreased in a key demographic – women 18-49. Stories of focus on Bold that week were Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and Eric Forrester (John McCook) aligning for a new fashion house, and RJ Forrester (Brayan Nicoletti) returning to Los Angeles.

The Competition

Meanwhile, over at ABC, General Hospital had 2.047 million total viewers/1.3 rating and hit a big milestone by gaining over two million in total viewers. While they were steady with the women 25-54 demographic, they were down when it came to women 18-49.

Of course, this week was “the week” for GH fans, as storylines focused on Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) getting a not guilty verdict, when fans knew she was, in fact, guilty of shooting her husband, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison!
