Derek Baldwin Is Desperate

Beyond the Gates spoilers hint that Derek will also approach Andre during the Monday, December 1 episode, asking the freelance photographer pointed questions about Ashley.

Derek lost his “dream girl” for good when she found out he was lying about his progress after an accident left the firefighter paralyzed. Derek took small steps to walk again, but kept it from Ashley.

He claims he wanted to surprise her on her wedding day; however, it was clear that he was afraid of losing her, as the two reunited shortly after his accident.

One of Derek’s biggest threats was Andre’s chemistry with Ashley. He was afraid he’d lose her to the freelance photographer, as Derek could see the sparks between the nurse and her friend.

With that said, Andre is a happily married man, with Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) as his wife, so could he ask the man’s help with “winning” Ashley back?

Andre Needs Ashley In A Relationship

Feelings don’t just go away, and while Andre did turn Ashley down after she approached him when she broke up with Derek, he may feel as if she needs to be with someone to ensure he stays committed to Dani! Still, what kind of “help” will Derek need to win back Ashley’s heart?

Will he want advice or for Andre to put in a good word for him? Would he have a scheme he needs help with? There may be no hope that Ashley will reverse her decision.

After all, Derek’s betrayal on the cusp of him placing her on the spot to set a wedding date in front of Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) and Naomi Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit) set Ashley over the edge!

Still, if Andre does help Derek with a scheme to win Ashley back, and the nurse finds out, could this jeopardize Andre’s friendship with Ashley?
