The Bold And The Beautiful spoilers and recap for Thursday, January 4 reveal that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) understands that Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) has been hurt. Steffy is glad that Bill changed his mind. Mike Guthrie (Ken Hanes) visits with Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown). John “Finn” Finnegan is waiting to hear from Steffy when Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) drops by to see Finn.

Li is thrilled that Sheila is finally behind bars. Li says Sheila should never walk free again. Finn and Sheila talk about the day Sheila found them. Finn will never forgive Sheila. Li says thankfully, Bill found her and saved her. Li wonders why Sheila was at Bill’s when she was arrested. Li is glad Sheila is behind bars. Finn hopes he doesn’t have to worry about Sheila again. Li still has nightmares over what Sheila did to Finn. Li is grateful that Finn is alive and healthy.

Sheila tells Mike she has connections of her own.

Li visits Sheila at the jail. Sheila tells Li she was starting to get lonely. Li tells Sheila there is no way out. Sheila says Steffy must be enjoying the moment. Li says Finn is thrilled too. Li says it’s judgment day and Sheila will pay. Li is convinced Sheila is going away for the rest of her life. Sheila laughs in Li’s face.

Steffy wants to make sure that Bill is done threatening her mother and never will again. Steffy isn’t trying to justify what her mother did. Steffy needs to concentrate on her mother and how she reacted. Bill has kept quiet. Steffy says Taylor is nothing like Sheila. Steffy begs Bill to think about everyone that Sheila has hurt and whom Bill cares about. Sheila should never be free again. Bill hears what Steffy is saying. Steffy is surprised that Bill is listening. Bill says Steffy is right about all of it.

Sheila belongs in jail, but Taylor doesn’t. Steffy wants to know if Bill will keep quiet. Bill has hurt people too and felt bad, that is why he understands Sheila. Bill could never hurt Sheila. Steffy asks Bill what he is saying. Bill hears Steffy and she’s right. Bill has hurt every woman he has ever loved. Bill needs someone who can handle him. Bill needs a woman he can’t hurt and one who will stay, like Sheila. Steffy tells Bill he is talking crazy. Steffy tells Bill that Sheila is not the answer.

Steffy cannot believe that Bill would turn her mother in for Sheila. Steffy wants Bill’s word that he will stay quiet. Steffy tells Bill that Sheila will use him and move on to her next victim. Bill refuses to let Sheila spend the rest of her life in prison. Sheila’s life for Taylor’s freedom.
