Taylor is a noted psychiatrist who was said to be volunteering while on a missionary assignment in Africa. The character, then played by Hunter Tylo (the original Taylor), left Los Angeles, California, in 2019 on the real-time calendar.

Allen became the recast in 2021. Tylo is believed to have been offered an opportunity to reprise her role and declined, which led to this important change.

This version of Taylor is a bit different than Tylo’s version, with the writing staff taking some fresh approaches. Allen’s edition and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) told Ridge they would not reunite with him and forged an unlikely bond with each other.

Taylor also appears to have finally gotten through to Thomas, with his obvious need for mental health therapy.

Steffy was tearful, with Thomas not manipulating her heartstrings. He actually meant what he said and is doing the work, as his mother said.

The key will be to see if Thomas can sustain his efforts and stay on the rails. He has to do so for Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) and his other family members.

Thomas owes his son, sister, parents, and extended family, including Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle), an honest effort in what projects as his likely return to Forrester Creations on B&B.
