Bold And The Beautiful News: Thorsten Kaye Teases Ridge Forrester’s Shocking Move

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) star Thorsten Kaye sat down with Soap Opera Digest and revealed why Ridge Forrester came to the decision to protect his son, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) from any legal consequences of Emma Barber’s (Nia Sioux) death. He knows that this choice could end his marriage, but the concerned father wants to protect his troubled son from spending time in jail.

Thorsten shares that it is an impossible decision, but he ultimately decides to stand up for his son and protect him from any more trouble. It is something that will cause the Logans and Spencers a lot of pain because they were counting on the fact that Thomas will be held accountable for the events that led to Emma’s death.

For Ridge and Thomas,  his father understands that some of Thomas’ turmoil is his fault. When Thomas was a youngster, Ridge left his mother Taylor Haynes (Hunter Tylo) for Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and started a family with her. And, Thomas never really got over it and their relationship has suffered ever since.

However, Ridge acknowledges the same conversation could apply to his own father, Eric Forrester (John McCook). Ridge decides that he will take some of the blame for this horrible situation and he does what he can to shield his son from any more drama.
