Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) intend to split for good on the Bold and the Beautiful. They’re doing so because of all the factors that have led them to this pained decision. But who is most to blame for Lope’s troubles?
It’s hard to tag two people who believe they lost their first-born child. However, to be direct, Hope and Liam should have never traveled to Catalina Island. That enabled Reese Buckingham (Wayne Brady) to employ his baby switch scheme.
So, a purely reactive response, that only looks at Hope and Liam, would hold them responsible, first, for their joint plight. But let’s broaden the perspective, for reasons of balance.
Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Flo Fulton Went Along With The Plan
If Reese had never gambled, then Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) wouldn’t have been threatened. If she had never been threatened, then Reese wouldn’t have felt compelled to sell the healthy-born, not stillborn, Beth Spencer (Isabella de Armas and Rosalind Aune) for a quarter-million dollars.
But that’s what Brady’s character did when he told Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) mother Dr. Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo) that a private adoption was possible. Flo Fulton, now Logan (Katrina Bowden) went along with Reese’s plan, posing as the birth mother. Both wrongs combined to make matters infinitely worse.
If Flo had been able to overcome her fondness for Reese, as they weren’t even engaged, then she would have been able to think clearly. That was her first mistake, allowing whatever romantic feelings she had about the doctor to fully cloud her good judgment. She enabled his crime. There’s no evidence that exists to confirm Reese could have pushed this lie otherwise.
Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Thomas Forrester Or Reese Buckingham?
And then there’s Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson). He’s using Caroline Spencer’s (Linsey Godfrey) death to manipulate Hope into believing that she’s Douglas Forrester’s (Henry Joseph Samiri) only lifeline.
Thomas claims to love Hope. Well, what happens if she doesn’t do everything he wants, assuming they realize a relationship? Or, if Hope ever learns how he’s abused her trust and used his own son?
The subjective nature of who is more despicable, Reese, or Thomas, missed the point. Both people are louts, who are taking advantage of Hope and Liam.

Well Reese started this but Flo and Zoe need to finish it now!!! Otherwise Liam will be all tied up with his new life with Steffy, I must admit I prefer him with Steffy but Hope is boring so is Thomas so they will be good together

Hope never should’ve gone to Catalina so close to due date.

Reese of course, Hope and Liam are well suited as well hey were together first as I know what and how it happened. Steffy took Liam away from Hope and just like Brooke has done in the past she knew how and she did! Steffy needs someone new!
all started with Reese. Liam and Hope belong together with Beth. Make it happen before a divorce happens. Steffy is a mover and shaker. She needs a guy to bring that out in her. Someone that will keep excitement in their relationships to show that a soap couple can have a good marriage and not be boring. She needs someone that will bring the heat!
Both Thomas and Reece but most Reece.
After the switch occurred, Hope is liable for her continued woes. How stupid can she be to forego psychiatric treatment. Her silly mother tried to get her to reconsider splitting w/Liam (another knucklehead), but hasn’t mentioned seeing treatment. Understand she’s grieving, but the girl has NO savvy to realize that Thomas is manipulating her.
Raunchy Reese started this hell & I want it over.. Give our girl her baby back I am so sick over all of this stalling. I could scream.. GET WITH IT WRITERS…make it happen ….??????? give our baby back to Mama Hope..!!!###
I most certainly agree with praying lady that Reese was the culprit in all of this, however, there are others who share the blame by keeping the tale alive. Along with Reese is his partner in crime there’s Shauna, but even before this there’s Hope and Liam. Who goes on a baby moon at approximately eight months pregnant? It should be (no one) because babies can early or late. Secondly, there’s Reese’s partner in crime Shauna. Now, I’m unaware of whether or not Taylor knew that the baby belonged to Hope and her spouse or Steffy. but Reese knew that Taylor’s daughter wanted another child and he also knew that the family had money so he saw dollar signs when he pretended to court (so to speak) Taylor and he hoodwinked her and she gave him money for this no fault adoption by deceiving her because he needed the money badly to save his daughter’s life.Then the tale goes on with Zoe finding out, then Zander, and God knows whose next. I’m unaware as to whether Steffy is aware at this point, but I’m sure it will be known because people do talk and it will all get out. To make a long story short, Reese and Shauna and her lies about having a baby and giving it up for adoption started all of this.
Reese to start with, Zoe and Flo for not telling the truth.
I WAS NOT EXPECTING FOR DOUGLAS TO OPEN THE RING BOX, SO IF HOPE CANT SEE THAT THOMAS IS MANIPULATING HER AT THIS POING, SHE DOESNT JUST NEED THERAPY, SHE NEEDS TO BE IN AN INSTITUTION. I THOUGHT DOUGLAS WAS JUST GOING TO ASK THE QUESTION, NOT GIVE HER THE RING. THAT WAS UNBELIEVABLE.
They all are; even Hope and Liam.
