Bold and the Beautiful Poll: Would Hope Be Better Off Without Liam?

Hope (Annika Noelle) is a good soul on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’. So is Liam (Scott Clifton), which is why they appear to be a solid love match. But the recent recast of Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) and inclusion of Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri) gives Noelle’s character unanticipated options that didn’t previously exist.

Liam has a child with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and another with Hope, though ‘Lope’ doesn’t yet know that Beth lived. Of course Hope and Liam will eventually come to learn that their first-born offspring is alive and is being raised under the name Phoebe, by Steffy. So the title to this feature does consider the coming reveal as part of the overall question regarding Hope’s future.

Thomas has made it clear that he and Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) were great as co-parents, but that they weren’t romantically involved. He’s grieving the loss of a friend, rather than his soul mate as a result.

Hope has taken notice to Thomas’ praise of her generous nature, but likely doesn’t foresee him falling back in love with her, or vice versa. ‘Tope’s’ past as a couple charges the possibility that these two B&B characters will be repaired.

The warm-hearted bond that Hope and Douglas instantly formed is good for both people. She, with the loss of her child, he, with the loss of his mom, benefit from each other’s compassion, as Thomas and everyone else sees.

Meanwhile, Liam will be spending a great deal of time with Steffy when she and the girls return from Forrester Creations’ European division. The former ‘Steam’ members will also be primed to bond then as well.

Still-raw emotions that Hope and Liam are feeling leave both vulnerable. Thomas is positioned to become a shoulder for Hope to lean on because of the Douglas connection and due to ‘Tope’s’ history. Liam is still the man that Steffy loves. That lingering feeling, combined with proximity, also makes a ‘Steam’ redux a threat to ‘Lope’s’ survival.
